Dang it, I haven't even finished the first one. I will probably end up buying it anyway, if only to take it for a spin on the Mesa drivers.

I guess it doesn't really qualify for this thread since the game is more or less abandonware and I won't be buying it, but this is at least what I will play next :)

Might be because of the DLC packs?

Last games I bought where Postal: Classic and Uncut, Postal 2: Complete, and Helena the III off of Desura. :D
Nah, I bought the vanilla version and it still does that.
EDIT: I bought Dark Void which does the exact same thing, securom error code 3000. So I;'m pretty sure its my installation, anyone with ideas? I'm running ubuntu 12.04 with playonlinux, and I've tried wine versions 1.58, 1.54/xliveless/raw3, 1.40 and I think 1.36.
Okay, then it's probably this bug:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30410
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine1.4/+bug/978678
Doing
echo 0|sudo tee /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope
Before running the game might work around this until the fixes are in.
Thanks.
