How do i mod steam graveyard keeper and Stardew Valley?
premier69 Jan 5, 2022
hi i found this nexus mod site but the games mods require qmodmanager if i understand it correct and that qmodmanager is a windows installer so these mods I've downloaded i don't know how to manually mod games in linux when the games don't have steam workshop, is it possible to mod these native linux games?

For Stardew Valley you can easily install SMAPI to be able to use mods. After you've installed SMAPI you can manually download the mods from Nexus Mods and place them in the mods folder.

This is explained here.

I have now idea about Graveyard Keeper, but maybe this will help you.

Thank You! i managed to install it but it seems /home/premier69/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods/ is protected and Dolphin won't allow me to unzip the mods in there so i have that to figure out, shouldn't be too hard. Next up, giving Graveyard Keeper modding a go, it's more what I'm playing right now right up until steam crashed and closed the game :/

is it ME or is fedora about as stable as Manjaro (as in bad)? I've used fedora since the release of 34, before that i was on Mint for a few years and i tried Manjaro which was terrible, might be going back to Mint.

I'd check your permissions. I believe if you right click on the folder and go to "properties". Make sure it's writable.

I'm actually thinking of trying Manjaro next weekend. I want to compare it to OpenSuse Tumbleweed, which I currently use, see if the grass is greener, lol.

Sorry for replying to such an old thread, how did your efforts work out? would you be willing to share steps for a linux newbie to try on his steam deck?
