So I was in a bit of a panic. What am I going to do? There has got to be an open-source solution; is it easy to implement? Surprisingly, I did not come across the article published here, however I did come across an article by the LinuxUprising mentioning Noisetorch.
Classic Arch magic (I use Arch btw!) I just threw Yay at it and it was found. Really easy to use and the results were stunning. One minute, all people can hear is terrible feedback , the next silence. I will certainly recommend NoiseTorch to people. However, I am interested to know if there are any alternatives that I should be aware of , or if NoiseTorch is the best solution at the moment?
Also, the Insomnia Gaming Festival was a riot! This was the first time that I decided to run Linux through the entire course of the weekend. I did have a fresh Windows 10 install on a secondary disk, just in case I needed it or someone wanted to play COD:MW but I didn't require it. When I thought I had problems, it turns out it was the Claptrap in our party had an ability that forced us to continuously fire our weapons. There was me thinking the game glitched and thought my mouse was still pressed! 😂
I'm interested to hear of other people's experiences running Linux at LAN events!
