No Play EA games are working on Steam Deck. Out of ideas

Ok I've gone as far as I can go. The issue is that when I try to log into EA games on Steam, purchased through steam, I get a grey/blue screen and I can't go any further. So far I've

Done a factory reset on the Steam Deck, plus all updates (This was my last step after trying every other setting)

Tried all Proton Edition including GE and experimental

Tried running from either Steam UI or Desktop with the same issue.

Talked to EA support, which went about as well as expected

Attached my Steam Account to my EA account

Best I can tell it's a PlayEA issue as it doesn't seem to get me to the login to my EA account

waiting upwards of 30 minutes to see if it's a caching shader issue. No change.

I am on a 64Gb and all games are installed on 512 highspeed microSD card. All other games work as expected.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated as I own several EA games. TIA
