The Prey 2 that we were cheated out of. Still salty all these years later.

I voted Prey, but honestly had alot of fun with Quake 4 and it was pretty close. I always had a soft spot for id Tech 4 and wish more games had used it.

I guess Quadrilateral Cowboy should be on this list too. It's a commercial id Tech 4 title, with native Linux support.

It's actually the only commercial/mainstream id Tech 4 game I haven't played. I even made it through Brink!

However, I had a hard time with my previous poll. I hesitated between selecting SOF, Kingpin, and Sin.

Well, I have always liked Quake 4.

Well, I don't think that this event drastically impacted the gameplay. However, the cinematics shows you that you are sort of the Strogg in later levels. In this case, I start to think that I play as one of the Stroggs, which change my way of thinking about the main protagonist. It's a weird illusion.

Quake 4 uses the same engine as Doom 3, and sometimes, the atmosphere is quite similar in both games. We didn't have this issue with previous versions of Quake and Doom.

I voted for good 'ol Doom 3. Any game where I can say that I blazed through half of the campaign in one long session must have something going for it. Very much underrated.

1. Prey
2. Doom 3
3. Quake IV
4. Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil
5. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

All were good games but I prefer single player games so Quake Wars was last. Prey surprised me when it came out. Had pretty low expectations and it blew me away.
