Quoting: StoneColdSpiderI don't think that's true. The Lego games seem to be mostly targeted at all ages. City Undercover contains jokes that kids cannot understand and will simply ignore.

Anyhow… if you look at the previous WPC threads (last 5 should do), you can find posts where I wrote about it.
Quoting: PenglingExactly this.
You are right, the more I play the more references I am seeing to M-rated movies, and some of the jokes are definitely not catering to kids necessarily. That said, the funniest thing to me so far was a squirrel farting in a police man's face, so the kids-level jokes are the ones that get me...

And thanks guys, I'll definitely pick up Indiana Jones at some point (or Star Wars).

IMO the best of the old Lego games is Batman. Harry Potter Years 1–4 is also very good. Both have second parts that I consider to be the weakest Lego games. Batman 3 is once again great.

Quoting: KlaasWhen you did your playthrough, who did you play?
Jazz. But I didn't play through The Secret Files, I played through the version from the original retail CD-ROM, which I still have here, so it's possible that I didn't encounter the level you've gotten stuck in, since The Secret Files added a bunch of fan-made ones.

Quoting: KlaasEdit: I forgot to mention that I love the tracker music. And the graphics look really good on the Decks's screen.
It's such a good game, and criminally underappreciated in its day. I first played through it on my very first laptop, which had a DSTN display (so, VERY blurry), and I had an amazing time with it. Any time I hear the music it takes me right back to more than half a lifetime ago. That's crazy to think about!

My favourite track from the entire thing is Jazz Be Damned, but I do love the entire soundtracks from the first two games. The one for the Game Boy Advance game that I played this week isn't really much to write home about, unfortunately - it's not terrible, and it actually uses samples so it sounds nicer than a lot of GBA titles, but it's also not up to the standards set by the earlier Jazz games, either.

Nothing wrong with that - it's just human-nature to find stuff like that funny!

TSF added a new official episode – in many places harder than the base game episodes with evil jumping sequences. I've got both the original (which included Jazz 1 on a second CD) and TSF on CD, but I'm currently using the GOG release. I originally had the official Christmas release preordered, but never received it before it appeared on GOG. I remember that the non TSF release required a patch for some serious issues.

Oh man, lucky! They advertised that for the UK but never actually included Jazz 1 with it in the end, so I had to track down Jazz CD separately. Got that sitting here too, but I used the GOG.com version when I played through it last year because as far as I know it fixes some bugs that were in the original CD-ROM release.

I can say for sure that it behaves itself fine under Proton on desktop, but it really freaked out big-time under plain Wine. I don't intend to try it on the Steam Deck when I get one, though - it's not time for another playthrough yet.

Located in Sweden, here the summer rain has been kind of off and on for a couple of weeks. Which I don't mind, cooler temps. I've had a little more game time than usual, mostly playing Call of Duty: WWII and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Really loving the graphics and scenery in Horizon.

He just knows who the good person is.......

Quoting: PenglingThis was the seventh installment of the feature, but thanks to a couple of the previous ones, it's currently sitting at around several hundred strong.
So this series might run longer than your Alien Crush stupid quest?????.....

Quoting: PenglingThey just revealed the first wave of Bomberman 40th Anniversary merchandise, too - and for some bizarre reason it's all based on Super Bomberman 3, which happens to be my favourite of the SNES games. Super-delighted with that!

Most likely, yes.

Nah, I only ordered one of the phone-stands - the rest of this wave are all types of things that I already have in my collection. Can't wait to see what's next, though!
