So Lego: Pirates – 4 episodes with 5 levels each. On the plus side it's a game before they were forced to include full voice acting, so it's gestures and grunts all around. On the bad side this is probably the crashiest game of them all (at least of those that I've played) and – as usual – the in-level cutscenes are unskippable in story mode. I've had 2 or 3 crashes in story mode in the third section of the first level which seems to be the level with the longest cutscenes. Then I had another crash in the same section in free play. Then I've had a crash after the last level of the first episode, but that was after saving my progress.

I'm currently at 37.4% completion after completing the second episode in story mode. Unfortunately you can't 100% most levels at this point since you need at least one character that probably unlocks at the very end of the game and one character that I suspect will unlock during episode 3. Like with Harry Potter's dark magic objects, the red/black objects are sprinkled all over the levels and you cannot do anything with them for a long time. That's something that I'm not very happy about. I prefer to be able to 100% each level when I want and it looks like the game will only allow that at the very end in bulk. At least you get someone that can destroy silver objects early on.

Otherwise it has some great levels with some fun moments.

Edit: Also, anyone that knows Lego games is that there is a bit of grind to unlock 2x and 4x score multipliers. The later you unlock them, the more grind is there to get everything else. I've already got 2x, and I've found 6x and 8x. I looked at a guide and the 4x is locked behind a red/black object. So it looks like I have to skip 4x and go directly to 6x which costs 50% more – so more grind. That's bad design.

Quoting: StoneColdSpider.... Jaques O'Ften????.....

Heheh... I sometimes use a fake name, "Jacques Soffalot" if some dumb assed registration insists on real names. It's subtle enough that someone would think I'm from Quebec lol

It works better than my old one, "Hugh Jorgen"

These double entendre names only work with Anglicized pronunciations of course. Soffalot would be "so-fah-LOW" and Jorgen would be "yorgen", almost lazily pronounced "yagen" (but not quite)

Quoting: whizseOh dear. If we continue down this we'll end up with a lifetime ban from GoL...

My Mr Trickle must be an imposter as the original Dick seems to be American?
Wouldnt be my first life time ban.........

And yes the Real Dick Trickle was American.......

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderDamn im glad more people dont think like you....... If everyone just did things for themselves I would be out of a job on the helpdesk...... Though the AI co-workers cant think for themselves....... So my job is rather safe......
Working at a helldesk, I'm sure that you're more likely to get these types.

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderGOD DAMMIT PENGLING.......
Always be training.

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderI already have that one all planned out...... Dont you worry........
I'm sure it'll be amusing, as always.

Quoting: whizseIt did eventually get to the point where I was considering murder. A good old co-driver co-stabbing. Much to my surprise at that moment the co-driver exclaimed "Don't cut me bitch!". It's pretty cool for a 2001 game to read your mind like that. Of course, I could have misheard and it was just supposed to be another badly delivered pace note "Don't cut, bad ditch".
Emergent behaviour in games is always amusing.

Quoting: whizseI did eventually get the better of this mysterious "D. Trickle", but for some reason the screenshot capture failed, so you have to take my word for it.
Are we witnessing the next episode of the Trickleverse Expanded Universe taking form?!

Quoting: KlaasPlease don't encourage the fanfic writer

Good Pizza, Great Pizza. Seems to be a PC port of a mobile game.

Oh how wrong I was…
Quoting: Klaasone character that I suspect will unlock during episode 3
A character that can sometimes be used can be bought after completing 4–2. The real character that has the same ability that can be used underwater (required in one of the first levels) is still not available.
