Remember the WTCC???….. No???……. Remember Andy Priaulx??…. No???…… Yeah not many people do……..
The graphics….. They are ok…… Nothing special even for the time….. But they do the job good enough…… For 2007 it looks fine and even now it holds up well enough unless you are a graphics snob.......
The sounds……. Are good enough…… Engines sound nice and the tyre squeal is also nice……. The radio guy sounds disinterested and there is very little atmosphere like crowd noise or anything else…..
The controls……... Are great…… Especially on a wheel…… Gamepad is also very good……. No complaints about this here on my end.....
The storyline....... Well there is no storyline….. So I get to make one up again……. April O’Neil continues to be lowered ever closer to the vat of delicious Nacho Cheese……. With no sign on the Turtles Pengling has to think fast…… “"LOOK, DORITOS POPE! It's a new Hideo Kojima cutscene-game!" She yells while pointing to the other side of the Doritos factory…… The Doritos Pope pays no attention and continues to lower April O’Neil into the vat…….. "Th-th-the new female character…… She breaths through her nipples!!!!" Pengling shouts not knowing what else to say…….. The Doritos Pope rushes over to see the new Hideo Kojima over sexualised character........ In the process of polygon blind lust he trips over one of Penglings army robots....... And falls into a vat of uncoloured Master Chief flavoured Doritos...… "You ever live in colour or die in eternal darkness” quips Pengling as the Doritos Pope sinks down into the vat out view………
Just then the turtles van crashes through the factory wall...... And out jump the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...... They untie April O'Neil and get her down..... April thanks the TMNT very much for rescuing her...... "But I saved you" protests Pengling but it falls on deaf ears.......
The turtles and April have a huge extended group hug....... Pengling turns around dejected....... She spots Hideo Kojima over in the corner watching April and the TMNT interact..... With a huge smile on his face and he is quickly writing down notes on a notepad...... Pengling shudders at the thought of what hes writing down about April O'Neil and the TMNT interaction........ The End?.........
The gameplay…… Race cars around many different circuits……… With all the DLC Race 07 recreates the 2006-2010 WTCC seasons……. There are also many different vehicles to choose from that are not WTCC cars…… From muscle cars to open wheel formula cars to GT cars to fictional beasts…... There are all the circuits from the WTCC series as well as bonus circuits from around the world...... All the circuits and vehicles are recreated to a high standard for the time..... This was before laser scanning...... So they arnt 100% accurate but for the time they did a fantastic job......
Lots of options when setting up races too….. So there is lots to experiment with and see what kind of racing you enjoy……. Short turoing car races???........ 2 hour GT endurance racing???...... something in between like Formula racing???....... Lots of freedom......
Overall…… I feel this is a great jumping in point for sim racing to get your feet and see if you enjoy the genre…… lots of vehicles….. lots of circuits……. This is a really good starting point for your sim racing journey……. And cause of its age will run on a potato of a PC......
And that is why my final score for Race 07 is a forgotten racing series out of 10……...

First up is Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope, part of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove (Native Linux, though I'm using Proton because that's what Valve set for it on the Steam Deck), a well-designed platformer that pays tribute to NES-era classics.

And secondly we have everybody's favourite farming-simulator, Stardew Valley (Native Linux), the game that set out to out-Harvest Moon Harvest Moon, and did so with aplomb.
It's been bloody freezing this week, so my other-stuff list is HUEG LIEK XBOX this time around, since the Steam Deck is so damn good at keeping you gaming while you're curled up trying to keep warm!

Stay warm, everyone!
Oh dear lord!
Well, I had quite a laugh at this one, I must admit - that sounds like exactly the sort of puerile crap that Kojima has a history of coming up with!
Hahaha!

Ive never actually played Shovel Knight but I do hear so many good things about it..... Maybe I should end up playing it....
I told you that you would like that game.... Im glad you finally listened to me......
Also that ice sculpture looks like a California Raisin
I hate this game...... It goes on for over an hour...... Is dead boring...... And theres nothing new after about 15 minutes....... There is no reason that game is so long.......
Is that a triple headed shark gorilla???.....
GOD DAMMIT PENGLING!!!!......
But yes he is a persistent little bastard...... He shows up every week in your posts...... I think you have a problem....
Oh dear.... Looks like Crash Bandicoot has crabs.......
Oh dear..... You didnt race as Yoshi did you???....... Also..... Commercial......
Mega Man or Rock Man....... Which is better???......
So this is what BlackBloodRum does on his days off......
Thats one mean looking bear......
Do a barrel roll.......
What flavour chips???.....
GOD DAMMIT PENGLING!.......
At first I thought that was a Pikachu passed out next to Shovel Knight...... But then I realised it was Shovel Knights giant golden cock.....
YOU *BEEP* *BEEP* BEEP*ING *BEEP*........ Its summer here...... Its 42 degrees C...... "Stay Warm"..... Go *BEEP* yourself.....
In the art of war..... You must know ones enemy......
Thought you would like that one.....

It's definitely worth the time - it's so well-made, and puts most modern games to shame in terms of how it organically teaches you how to play.
You're not the only one, either, haha! It's great, I love it.
It does! Hahahahaha!
Pretty much, yeah.
Nah, just a tenacious bomb-making robot.
Mega Man and Rockman are the same thing.

He's mean-looking even when he's fluffy.
Given recent Weekend Players Club events, cheese, surely?
On that note, where has Mr. Trickle gone off to, anyway?

I know..... Im alright right......
And you also have problems.......... We all know that......
But which name is cooler???.......
Im more surprised that game has a merch line than I am on you having a plushie.......
You know how I said you have problems earlier???.......
Nacho Cheese or Triple Cheese?
Well ahhh...... He is....... HEY WHATS THAT OVER THERE!!!..... *Spider points in the distance behind Pengling......*
Its the Doritos Pope slowly climbing out of the vat of Master Chief Flavoured Doritos........
"God Dammit...... why wont you just die" Yells Pengling in frustration........
"I cant die" replies the Dortios Pope...... "Who else would make the greatest video game awards show in the history of video games awards shows???..... THE GEOFF AWARDS........ I AM ETERNAL!!!!"........

Oh, don't make me choose!
Oi!
But yes, Rivals of Aether does have merch, and it's all nice stuff.
Dunno!
HAHAHAHA!
