Anyone got Steam-EA App games working?
Pyrate May 11
It Takes Two, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 and I assume SW Jedi: Fallen Order too, all don't work for me thanks to the hemorrhoid that is EA launcher. I tried all that's been suggested in these games ProtonDB pages but none of the fixes worked for me, when I click Play, I can't get past the EA App install screen because it keeps crashing and never gets to the point of entering my EA account credentials, which I assume blocks the games from loading. Anyone here got it to work? what did you do? I'm desperate.

Installed and tried to launch Mass Effect LE - and it just worked for me. OotB. And the game never asked me to enter EA credentials. Through I probably linked accounts long time ago...

So I can't really advise you anything - can only confirm that EA launcher currently works in Proton. At least with Proton Experimental, which is still "selected by Valve testing" for ME by default.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I have Mass Effect in my library but it's a massive download to try it just for this now. I have linked my accounts ages ago so it can't be that either. I really don't know what my issue could possibly be, tried all Proton versions back to 7.0.6, nothing. I don't think this matters but I'm in the process of switching my kernel back to the official Fedora one for a different purpose, was using fsync-kernel, it's a long shot but I hope it somehow fixes the damn launcher.

I installed it with Lutris and played Dragon Age: Inquisition with it. Fresh installs seem to work fine. Updates are a royal pain.

yeah EA app hasn't been working in steam for me for about a month.
also EA App in lutris hasn't been working for me either. I have reinstalled them both.
I have an old gorilla install of EA App i did some time ago (think i downloaded the actual EA App from the ea website and installed via steam - then changed the executable to the ea app - and for some reason have that linked in lutris) and that one works (but it isn't linked to steam acc).

I finally fixed this stupid thing, all I had to do was use Proton Experimental bleeding-edge... now Battlefield 1 works and I assume the other EA games too, Already put this out in a ProtonDB report.
