Graphics might be impressive but is the gameplay any good???......

games are not good anymore in gameplay though.

I feel like we've long reached the "uncanny valley" with some choices made to portray realism. Cause all three of those video game characters irk me in some way. Hellblade irking me the least and Horizon irking me the most. That's the friendly way to put it at least.

I didn't expect my joke image to turn into real conversation lol, but I agree. A lot of the AAA folks have boring gameplay.

WHERE'S MY EYE POKIN' STICK?

I have enough people with skin problems around me irl, I don't need those in my games, too.

The version of ME that I have is more work that gameplay, plenty of bugs and rather badly optimized.

You know, it's kinda funny I didn't notice one was "ME" immediately. With that said, it looks like the "ME" engine needs an upgrade.

Also, for those whom are in need, I have several eye poking sticks here, feel free to grab one:

Is the ME running on an open source engine?

I find myself playing games of yesteryear much more often than the recent ones. The graphics are subpar, but the gameplay is superior in some ways.

That's the case for a lot of people - last year, on platforms where the metrics can be tracked, at least 60% of gaming was with titles more than six years old (and a similar 60%-ish figure was also the case for the streaming of TV-shows and movies). And the real numbers are probably even higher, since they can't track gaming on vintage hardware, emulation-boxes, those Famiclone handhelds that you see all over eBay, barcades, and so on.

Oh trust me, I know! (You've seen my avatar, right? )

ME ran on Unreal Engine 3; this is definitely fake.

I mean, this is about the best you could expect; and the more you customized, the more a face looked like Mr. Potato Head:

Unless it's the new 'legendary edition' that came out last year or so.
