Following on from playing the Max version of the first game last weekend, my pick this week is Bomberman Max 2: Red Advance.
It's more of the same - Bomberman and Max have to foil an evil scheme whilst retrieving Pokemon-like Charabom creatures again - but this time around the more-detailed graphics offered by Game Boy Advance make Max's busy design easier to read at a glance.
It's a Bomberman game with plenty to do, what more could I want?
AGH! There are lots of yelling faces this week!
I like the art-style in this one - it looks a bit like an old comic-book. I assume that it's straight from the original game, and wasn't altered for the hack?
Hahaha!

GOD DAMMIT PENGLING!! x2......
GOD DAMMIT PENGLING!!! x3......
GOD DAMMIT PENGLING!!!! x4........
GOD DAMMIT PENGLING!!!!! x5.........
Well its getting close to Christmas..... So its that time to get angry.......
Correct....... The art style is from the original game and not part of the hack...... You can see the original game here....... And yes it does indeed have a great art style...... The game came out in 1994 during of the steroid era....... So having larger than life roided up looking players is actually quite realistic for the time.......
While the game has the MLB licence but it doesnt have the MLBPA licence so the only real player in the game is indeed Ken Griffey Jr......... Who played for the Seattle Mariners....... who were owned at the time by....... Thats right..... Nintendo......
As I said I know the formula for jokes that you like......
Of course!
Anyway, it looks nice, and it's a real pity that we pretty much never see stylised cartoony sports games like this anymore.
