*ba dum.... tssssh…...*
Red Dead Redemption (original) and NFS Most Wanted (2005)
My pick this weekend is Doom 64 (the remastered version via Proton, rather than the N64 original), which I've been looking forward to getting started on for a while.
In its day, a lot of people overlooked it because they mistook it for a Nintendo 64 port of the first Doom, but it's not that at all - it's its own unique game that's technically the "true" Doom 3. There's a remastered version available these days which gives options to adjust the far-too-dark lighting, and has various modern quality-of-life niceties, and that's the one that I'm playing.
Doom 64 sees Doomguy facing off against the Mother Demon, which has resurrected all of the forces that had already been slain in the earlier games. Of course, the only way to deal with it is to go back and do more of the same, so that's what you have to do.
!Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
I also played the fan-translation of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (PC Engine Super CD-ROM²) for Halloween, which was good fun.
What's up with the quiz?
This one seems to upscale nicely!
Hahaha!
And if that fails you can just buy a "healing potion" which cures any and all injuries instantly for just 99c........
But is it 64 times better than the original Doom???..... Do the math!......
Ok...... Lets carry on from last week....... Can you do a six degrees on Kevin Bacon from Doom 64 to Bomberman??.........
Its a really good Castlevania game one of my favourites........
Lots of sports games during this time period had quizes in them........ They quite often gave you tokens or points or something if you answered them correctly....... And they would be used to unlock content such as historic teams, uniforms, stadiums and even cheats such as the Big Head cheat I showed last week......
The quiz has long since died out thanks to DLC and Card Pack microtransactions........
Ive honestly NOT seen a GameCube game that hasnt upscaled really nicely...... Dolphin does a fantastic job upscaling thats for sure........ And the art style of the GC and also the PS2 lends itself to upscaling really well.......
I had a feeling you would really like that one......
I don't know what you are talking about. I am just an innocent law abiding civilian, honest.
Meanwhile, I made a couple of screenshots:

I can!
Doom 64 was developed by Midway. In the 1980s, Midway held the US distribution rights for Namco's Pac-Man arcade games. A Japan-only mobile game crossover, Pac-Man X Bomberman, was released in 2010. So, Doom 64 can indeed be connected to Bomberman.
It's not quite in my top three Castlevanias, but it's close and I can see why it's so well-liked.
Wow... I never knew that these things existed at all!
Spoiler, click me
Good. You should be punished for killing a cow.
Prim
The long awaited Kickstarter from 2012 where the protagonist is the mortal daughter of Death. The premise is inspired by a similar character from the Discworld books but the story itself is original.

The game answers a certain question about Cerberus...
Old fashioned point and click adventure. Grab every little thing, talk to everyone and everything. You have a trusty little sidekick in the form of a detachable eyeball (with spider legs) and there's some mini-games and card collecting going on.
Sadly not enough of a challenge for the seasoned adventurer, which in turn makes the game a bit on the short side. On the plus side the ending seems to hint at a sequel?
Camp Sunshine
Classic teen slasher - psychotic killer on the loose. Avoid the killer. Solve mini games to uncover the mystery and break the curse. Sleep in blood soaked beds to save your progress!

Not really my cup of tea. It does have good reviews so I guess my opinion is in the minority.
I really had no choice.
