Streets of Rogue [Steam, Official Site] just got that little bit more awesome with a new 4-player split-screen option, for when you have those mad gaming parties. This new feature needs to be turned on manually in the settings.

Here's a little shot of what to expect:

While that's the only big new thing available in this release, it's still a big release overall since the developer is pushing hard on the bug fixes. They said the next few updates will also focus on fixing bugs, as they wish to get it more stable before they push out new content again.

It makes sense of course, there's no point pushing out tons of new features if the base of the game is so buggy it puts people off.

The game itself is already full of features, with loads of different character classes, plenty of levels to power through, lots of different AI behaviours, local and online co-op, random generation so no one game is the same and the amount of items you can find is pretty nuts too.

See the announcement here. I think it's a fantastic game, certainly one of those "just one more run" types.
