If you're in the mood for something new to play on Steam Deck, I've gone through what's been recently steam deck verified Steam Deck Verified by Valve and picked out some good stuff for you. Since they're Verified, they should work great on Desktop Linux too.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page

I'd forgotten this wasn't Verified already - the little one and I played through it quite early in our Deck exploration. It's good but it is about loss and grief, so there's that.

Of this list, Naiad & Drill Core seem the most interesting. Naiad just has a super cool aesthetic, and drill core looks like it could maybe just maybe scratch that Steamworld Dig itch that just never ever ever ever seems to go away.
