What you'll get is the big new dedicated Wrath of Gods scenario. Here you will lead your nation while heeding the ever-increasing (and conflicting) demands of their nation’s pantheon. Problem is - you can't keep them happy all the time so they will end up unleashing one of nine new calamities. The developers said "Calamities work in the base game as well (but without the gods metagame) and come with new visual and environmental effects, such as heavy flooding that can change land tiles into water or certain disasters that change the resources a tile offers".

There's also the new Aksum playable nation from Northeast Africa. Aksum comes with five dynasties headed by legendary figures from the nation's past along with two unique units, their own special events and more.

You can also expect a "smattering of general content" being added to the game as well.

On top of that they've revealed they've now hit 300,000 sales since the full 2022 release. Nice to see another 4x grand strategy game doing well. Especially nice that it has full Linux support too.

Old World | Release Date: 19th May 2022
