Catching up from a few other interesting bits announced during the PlayStation State of Play February 2025 is Days Gone Remastered. For players on PC, it will just be a DLC.

In the official Sony blog post they said "To our PC community, rest assured that all new content and features will be coming to Days Gone on Steam and the Epic Games Store day-and-date, April 25, 2025". This will include these new features:

  • Horde Assault – A survival arcade mode.
  • Permadeath mode.
  • Speedrun mode.
  • DualSense haptic feedback support (needs to be wired for full support).

Hopefully they won't forget about GOG users like they did the Horizon Zero Dawn remasters (as if the game needed any to begin with).

Sony trying to scrape whatever profit they still can. Starting to regret buying their games.

They didn't forget about it, they weren't allowed to put their mandatory PSN login on GOG. Maybe they'll do it now that it's optional.

What the heck? game that released 2021 on PC is getting remaster already?
whats going on in this industry. The original game looks great and performs woderfully, whats the point of remaster really.
switching to that unoptimized blurry/smeary UE5 now?

well at least its a DLC with 10 bucks i guess, so its not the worst.

The only way I am buying a remaster of this game, which I love btw, is if Sony commits to concluding this story with the sequel, there is no point in spending another cent on this game when they canceled the sequel which would conclude the story. Why the hell are they remastering canceled games... this is beyond infuriating honestly.

The PC version will not be remastered, it's the old PS4 version from 2019 that will be remastered for PS5.
