Fallen Aces from Trey Powell, Jason Bond and New Blood Interactive looks awesome and now it should be even better. With the Wheels of Steel update there's been a few bits added, overhauled and now it's Steam Deck Verified too. If you're after an FPS that's a bit different then this is one to stick into your wishlist.
What is it? "The A.C.E.S, watchful guardians of Switchblade City, are being taken down, one by one. Now it's up to one man, with two fists, to get to the bottom of it all. Fallen Aces is a crime noir FPS that plays right out of the '90s and looks like it's right outta the comics."
The big thing included in this update are the remade vehicle assets across the whole game so they should look a lot better. But there's plenty of smaller bits to it like new Tommy Gun animations, new punch and automatic pistol sound effects, improved enemy path calculations (plus other enemy character fixes) and lots of bug fixes. My favourite change though is that you can throw enemy bodies through breakable doors — sounds fun.
Additionally, for Steam Deck players, it's a good one too as it's now Steam Deck Verified! They've updated it to make some UI elements bigger, there's better controller navigation in some places, improved sliders and more.
Plenty more to come with Episode 2 "all storyboarded out and into production" but before that they're going to add in a Level Editor and Steam Workshop support.
