Over the weekend Steam managed to break yet another concurrent online user record, smashing the previous that was set back in December 2024.
According to SteamDB, just after 2PM UTC today Steam hit 40,270,997 online with 12,727,475 actually in-game playing something. The most popular games over the last 24 hours in terms of most players online were:
- Counter-Strike 2
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
- Dota 2
- Marvel Rivals
The release of Monster Hunter Wilds has certainly helped with the numbers here, as it's been a huge release for Capcom. It's seen a 24 hour peak player count of 1,373,805 online at the same time.
