A game that continues to review well by players, with it hitting a good sales milestone not long after launch, The Spell Brigade from Bolt Blaster Games has a big update out now with a brand new character. It has Native Linux support and is rated Steam Deck Verified.

More about it: The Spell Brigade is a survivors-like with online co-op for 1-4 players. Team up with your wizard friends to slay hordes of dark creatures. Complete team-based objectives, unlock new upgrades, and create overpowered spell synergies. Friend nor foe is safe in this friendly fire bullet hell!

New additions:

  • New Wizard: Maggie: The Spell Brigade welcomes the eleventh wizard to their ranks. Maggie uses her bird-like features to spot pickups from far away and wields a unique spell called "Aurora Wings," which casts mystic birds across the battlefield that pick off targets one by one.
  • Wizard Traits & Ranks: Following community feedback, Bolt Blaster Games has reworked and rebalanced each wizard's stats and effects. Every mage now has unique attributes that define their specific role within a team. Examples include Reginald's luck-based abilities, Aldric's occasional healing powers, and Kavin's... distinctive Kavin-ness. Each wizard now also has their own rank, which players can level up to show off their shiny badges to their teammates.
  • Single Spell Mode: A new covenant called "Solitary Focus" challenges players to rely solely on their Starter Spell. As players progress, this single spell evolves to extraordinary power levels, offering a fresh strategic approach to their runs.

They said it will also be discounted during the Steam Spring Sale with 25% off (it's biggest discount so far) which begins later today. Looks like another great one to add to your library, which I still haven't had a chance to properly dive into yet.
