Valve have launched the first of their planned four major seasonal sales for 2025, with the Steam Spring Sale launched featuring plenty of big discounts and demos.

They also have a fresh trailer to mark the event featuring a bunch of different games:

For this event Valve have also put up a Deep Discounts section again, so you can look to find some of the biggest discounts they have during the sale. No sale on Steam Deck hardware though, that's more likely later on in the year.

Going over the list I've managed to pick out a number of different games I think are worth grabbing. All of them suitable for those of you on a budget and I've stuck to those that are steam deck verified Steam Deck Verified only, to ensure no matter what they should work great on both Steam Deck and Desktop Linux as a whole.

Under £15

Under £5

Native Linux

For this next set here's some top picks for readers who specifically go for games that have a Native Linux version. All under £15 as well. All should also work on Steam Deck being rated at least Playable or higher!

I'm also going to give an a little honourable mention to one of the best co-op games ever with Deep Rock Galactic at 67% off but it's only rated steam deck playable Steam Deck Playable (but works perfectly on Desktop Linux).

See the full sale on the Steam store.
