Ah hell, here we go again, I'm going to be hooked on it. FuturLab have revealed PowerWash Simulator 2 is coming and it will be this year too. The first is definitely a don't knock it until you try it type of game. It's so weirdly relaxing and works great on Linux with Valve's Proton so I'm keen for an expanded sequel.

There's some really nice additions in this one too. Not online will online co-op return, but they're also adding in split-screen play. Awesome. Really great to see split-screen making a return to more games. It also adds in an all-new customizable home base system.

From the press release:

"PowerWash Simulator 2 feels like a natural evolution from its predecessor. The original game’s design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean. PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features and quality of life improvements," says Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab. "We're really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure."

"We couldn't be more thrilled to finally announce the sequel to one of our most successful titles. With over 17 million players worldwide, PowerWash Simulator has allowed us to self-publish a sequel, an exciting challenge we are delighted to undertake," says Chris Mehers, COO of FuturLab. "We look forward to bringing players the next step-up in the PowerWash Simulator series."
