Sonic Rumble is Steam Deck Verified ahead of release

Okay, now I'm excited. Sonic Rumble from SEGA is the first major multiplayer party game for the series and Valve have rated it Steam Deck Verified.

Given that it's an online multiplayer game (up to 32 players), I was worried that anti-cheat would be problematic like it is for so many other games on Linux platforms. Thankfully, it seems this is not the case so players on Linux platforms like Steam Deck will be able to play. Valve tested it with the latest Proton 9.0-4.

It does use Kernel Level Anti-Cheat called Uncheater noted on the Steam page, which seems to be some variant of XIGNCODE3. Sonic Rumble has been added to our anti-cheat compatibility page.

We don't yet know when the game will release though. SEGA said last month it will be sometime "this Spring" so that could be any date up until June 21st.
