Hot off the Steam forum news stands is that Serious Sam HD & Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter will come over to Linux.

QuoteThis is something that I was hinting at for months already, and it will come. We will be retrofitting all of the older games (the HD versions, not the classics), onto all the new platforms as we come to support them. But more on that later. So, in short - yes, there will be SSHD:TFE/TSE on Android (as well as OSX, Linux...) - at a point. Actually, we can more-or-less run those already, besides the SS3. It just needs some more fixes and tuning to be available at the same time. You'll hear more about it when the time comes.

It's good to see Croteam properly re-visit their older games and get newer and officially supported ports done for Linux. The updated games are using Serious Engine 3, so the same engine as their latest in the series. So thankfully you won't have to deal with clunky and dated interfaces.

We still have Serious Sam 4 to look forward to as well, which has been confirmed for Linux. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Is this true: http://www.desura.com/games/serious-sam-the-second-encounter ?

Has already bought one there and tried? Or is the Linux mark only a misunderstanding here?

I didn't look at the link but I have the first and second encounter as well as serious Sam 2 installed natively in Linux but not the newer hd versions. I'm really looking forward to this.

Yeah, I also got it with my nVidia card. :D
It's a shame that there's no Steam support for the game on Linux.
