The original creator of Counter Strike Minh "Gooseman" Le spoke to "goRGNtv" on twitch and Half-Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 came up. Looks like Left 4 Dead 3 is a sure thing, Half-Life 3 on the other hand still sounds like it's only a concept.

We have seen a few leaks here and there about L4D3, but not much has come up on HL3 as of yet. I think this is the most solid confirmation we have ever had of HL3 and when I say solid it's still not concrete evidence of course given Minh's comments.

QuoteI think it's kinda public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on. And so if I were to say that yeah, I've seen some images, like some concept art of it, that wouldn't be big news to be honest. But yeah, I mean like I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kinda like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn't surprise anyone if I said they're doing it, they're working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I'd say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3.

Around 35 minutes.

QuoteYou know, the one thing I'm really excited about is Left 4 Dead, the new Left 4 Dead. I saw it, it looks great. I was really excited when I saw that, I was like "wow, this looks great". Cos I really enjoyed Left 4 Dead, it was just one of those games that really just changed the industry. I think at the time there wasn't many good co-op games, so yeah, this is a great co-op game.

What do you make of his comments? I imagine Valve are wishing they didn't show him so much. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Well, not so much that HL3 is real so much as a couple of pieces of concept art that are probably for HL3 are real. That's about as solid as London fog.

Valve secretly love these kind of leaks. Any news like this generates waves of hype for them. I'm sorta glad in a way that Half-Life 3 isn't out yet because I want a game that can actually trump the previous games, look at least an equal step up between source 2 and source as goldsrc as source did and also for valve to perfect their ports to an even greater quality.

I AM hyped for Left 4 Dead 3, the series is one of the best us gamers have and its a comfort to know valve are still making games XD. And that it will have a storyline, the Left 4 Dead 2 maps were very well designed and the comics were Ace!

L4D3 was not much of a surprise after Valve decided to give L4D2 to Steam users last Christmas, but I'm still a bit skeptic about HL3 ever being released.

Every time I hear an interview where HL3 is hinted I have the sensation it is talked about like if it were an old memory. I'm starting to think too that HL3 is not in the plans anymore, considering also the fact that Valve seems be focused exclusively on multi-player nowadays (where the big money are, looking at Dota2 tournament).

Yeah, it's a good thing they're being careful about their statements regarding HL3 lest we see another Duke Nukem Forever.

I'm not a shooter player, especially not with zombie-shooters. So I don't care too much, I bet a lot of people in the world are waiting for this.

Of course they could also make it a great co-op game. Also if HL3 bridged the gap with portal and included portal like puzzles it could be killer. L4D3, cant wait.

I can't imagine they would miss that opportunity to have a sure success title. But I think they're really busy now with porting stuff, Steam Machines, Streaming, their Controller, maybe developing a new engine etc. So I assume it will come, but not that soon.
