XCOM 2 has now been delayed until February next year to make it a worthy sequel, this should also ease the porting pressure on Feral who are doing a lot right now. This isn't Feral delaying the port (to be clear!), this is the main game being completely delayed.
The message on the official site was short and sweet:
QuoteHello XCOM fans,
We want to give you an update on the release date for XCOM 2. We’ve set a high bar for the sequel and the entire team has been working hard to make sure we deliver a great follow-up to Enemy Unknown. We just need a little more time to make it the best possible game.
With XCOM 2, we want to have more depth, more replayability, and more investment in your soldiers and this extension will give us the time we need to deliver on our promise to you.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we move towards February. Good luck, Commander!

I absolutely love Enemy Unknown, so I don't mind waiting for the sequel to be the best it can be. I've clocked too many hours in Enemy Unknown already, and look forward to many more in XCOM 2.

I am disappointed, but I rather they do this than release a buggy craptastic game. Good call on them owning up to pushing the game back.

Bummer, but game delays happen all the time, and for good reason too. Honestly, the rest of this year looks pretty packed with games for me to play, so this slipping to Feb 2016 isn't the worst thing in the world. Sucks for them that they miss the holiday season, though.

I would prefer they didn't rush this one, so I'm fine with it!

I'd rather they take their time, and make it awesome.

As Shigeru Miyamoto famously said, a delayed is eventually good while a rushed game is forever bad.
