I like a lot of what Itch.io are doing, and it's good to see them do more events to highlight developers and features available on the store.

They have an open source client, easy access to get games, fonts, applications or whatever on their store and their funding models are nice too. I especially like how open they are about everything when they do their blog posts.

Every day this week they are going to highlight a developer and a random feature available on Itch.io. They will also announce an upgrade for each feature and detail how you can use it.

The first feature in the spotlight is the Itch desktop client which has been overhauled!

The first developer interview is with Ditto and you can read that here.

They have a surprise feature announcement due on Friday as well. I am looking forward to finding out what it is!

I love itch.io. I first used it when I wanted to support the development of [EC Wolfenstein 3D](http://maniacsvault.net/ecwolf/) by buying Super Noah's Arc 3D (ended playing that more than ECWolf actually) and the developer's site said he got a bigger cut on itch than on Steam. I was really impressed by the hassle-free store and array of DRM-free download options. And I love DRM-free!

Yeah, I'm paying more attention to itch.io now. They have some interesting games.
