@VdoP no, I think when you activate a game on Steam via the CD-key it doesn't count as anything (since you have already paid the game)...

I did the same with Pillars of Eternity, but I was told that all box sells probably count as Windows sale. Maybe a Feral guy drops in and knows more.

Only way you can give them money is by buying the games for Linux.

Only way you can give them money is by buying the games for Linux.

I honestly don't get the point of buying games before release.

It's mot about buying before release, but getting a box for the money. I still have the first original Deus Ex box and some lovely memories about that game. If i understood correctly, the boxed version would not count as a linux sale in two weeks either, so i dont really understand what you are trying to say. I, as a customer, want a box for games worth more than 20 Eur.

It's a shame it works this way. I wonder then how can they come up with a 1% sale if they don't even count the sales made on linux. Plus the game offer on windows is like 4times bigger. So 4times more splited than on linux. I wonder how feral, aspyr and vp can manage to live with that. If you don't come on gamingonlinux in the forum, you won't be tell that info by steam. If you buy on a Linux machine from the Feral store it counts as Linux.
