I was extremely impressed with Slime-san [Steam] when I took a look and it's about to get a huge free content update, in the form of a free DLC.

The DLC is so big, that they've also made it a stand-alone game. All current owners get it as a free pack, but it means others can purchase it directly if they wanted to.
It will feature a full new campaign with 25 normal and 25 NG+ levels within a giant kraken. That's right, you get eaten again, it's not an easy life being a Slime. It will also include new cutscenes, a new mini-game, a customizable house and lots more.
Slime-san is one of the most polished platformers I think I've ever played. So full of secrets, lots to do and I do suggest you give it a look.
