Just a regular Linux user (not even a programmer at the moment of contributing) who used to mostly write about obscure but still interesting games with native support, in an effort to help them gain a bit of deserved exposure.

Opinions at the moment of writing the articles were mine, though in some cases contents were edited or critical information was added by GOL Editors before approval.
'Prison Run and Gun' was a game I discovered because of an IndieDB giveaway, and I kept an eye on it since then. Considering it currently is on sale (60% off), I decided to finally try it. Apart from a particular but serious issue, I don't really have any reason not to recommend it.
Slayaway Camp is an isometric and sadistic puzzler where you play as a deranged psychopath who goes on a rampage at an isolated camp in the woods. Although there isn't an official demo available, you can find the free version of the game on Kongregate.
In an announcement posted on the Steam store page of CHKN the day before yesterday, the developers of this strange but interesting sandbox game are celebrating a contest for Halloween. Basically, you need to create a monster and submit it before October 31st. There will be three winners.
This dungeon crawler was fully released two months ago, on September 6th. Strangely, despite the fact that there is a demo available at IndieDB, the developers didn’t include it on the Steam store page, which would have made more sense.
This unique atmospheric adventure typing game is now available DRM free on GOG, with a 35% discount until October 25, 1 PM UTC, so it will only cost you USD 8,77 until then.
"It's Spring Again" is a extremely small educational game which aims to teach very young children about the different seasons. It was released on February 2 of this year, and so far the majority of Steam user reviews are positive. There is an online demo available.
Disturbed is a visual adventure with hand-made black and white graphics, where you play as a farmer who needs to save his land from a horrific plague before it's too late. It's FREE.
Humble Bundle is having another interesting bundle featuring some titles from developer and publisher Artifex Mundi. All its 10 Hidden Object games have Linux support and can be purchased for only 5 USD.
Redie is one indie game that I can’t wait to play when it’s fully released on November 2016. It was already Greenlit, but the developers still need support for the Kickstarter campaign. It currently has a lightweight demo (only 102 MB) that I absolutely recommend to try.
‘Ravenfield’ is a small but excellent FPS inspired by Battlefield (but without Multiplayer), and now its single developer is releasing an update. There isn’t a lot of new content, but the new assets and improvements are surely welcomed.
There is a huge 90% discount for a double package featuring both 'Frederic' rhythm games until September 26th. Right now, if you buy the games separately, they would cost you USD 10.98 in total, but with this deal you'll only pay USD 0.89 for both.
Marooners is a casual multiplayer title consisting in a group of minigames where you have to collect treasures while trying to survive your friends' attacks and diverse environmental threats. There is an original mechanic that switches the game modes without warning, forcing you to quickly adapt to the consequent chaos.
The people at GOG are planning to expand its game catalogue by featuring games with virtual items purchases. This was informed in a newsletter sent a couple of weeks ago to all their customers.
The good-looking and insane RIVE has been long advertised as Two Tribes final release. For those who don’t recognize them, they’re the Dutch studio behind excellent puzzle games like Toki Tori.
While it's sad that Shadow Warrior 2 won't see a day-1 Linux release, in the meantime you can fill the void with the original 1997 version of the game, which has become FREE on GOG.
Epistory: Typing Chronicles is an interesting isometric adventure where you type words to kill your enemies. It now has a demo available to try out.
Build and manage your own nightclub in Party Hard Tycoon. Linux is confirmed for the game, but not for the beta.
Guts and Glory is basically the 3D version of the Flash game Happy Wheels and this is even acknowledged by its author, a single developer who started the project on his own during his spare time.
Excellent news for those who requested a Linux version for this demake, as the Linux port has been released as requested.
Killing Room is an upcoming rogue-like FPS full of violence and black humour, which doesn't take itself too seriously. The game will be launched in October, and there won't be Early Access, though they promise to keep adding features and fixing bugs.
