The developer of 'Inner Voices' will seriously consider a Linux version with enough interest

Serious Sam Fusion 2017 now has benchmark modes and more, here's some quick tests

Quoting: dubigrasuWell, benchmarks are rarely 100% accurate, most of the time are only general scenarios where various elements/NPC/etc are acting at random. That's why plenty of runs are needed in order to extract an average you can use.
Of course, I just like to note it.

I wish Croteam would just release their games on GOG already, this is the kind of company I wish to support but can't due to DRM. Other than that I can only say, rock on Vulkan, these graphs are simply mind blowing and the API is great for low spec hardware.

Cossacks looks to be a lot more in line with Empire Earth or 0 A.D.

Depends on, if you actually do get to the menu you don't have a lot of issues ;-)

If you have an issue with the mouse (not moving / moving horrendibly slow):
https://github.com/PlayOnLinux/wine-patches/tree/master/custom/rawinput2
that one helps ;-). I think POL actually provides a wine version with rawinput2 patch in the repos which you could try.
It's an issue with mouse acceleration being wrong implemented in EE1. I've done this with xinput commands setting mouse acceleration profiles too at some time, but the rawinput2 patch seems to work properly.
Didn't try in the past year though.

did anyone tried starcraft2 (or any battle.net game) with it? A while back I've tried to launch it, but it seems Blizzard did something which prevent me from even getting into launcher.

Its a shame when the developers dont quality control better, especially with games that looks this good and fun to play. I hope they fix it quickly!

Actually, for me is setting:

enough to get it running properly. Don't need to set a resolution. Interestingly: I only have one screen XD.

Quoting: Andrei B.Wow, 7nm.. Impressive.
Ten years ago we thought that 23nm was the physical limit.

I don't remember that. I for many years now remember the physical limit be considered around 5 nm (and it is getting there now as it seems). Moore's Law also considered to be halted in 2010s. 7nm is really impressive but not too unrealistic. Intel had stopped at 14nm for a some time now and either intel wanted Amd to catch up or already is getting proportionally way more difficult. Of course now I believe we Moore's Law is near the end and will not be continued in 2020s as already have happened for many years now with frequencies. In any case 1nm is very near the atomic scale.

As to why they might have waited . . . the brute fact is that while microprocessor factories can, once built, churn out nearly arbitrary numbers of chips for cheap, they are incredibly expensive to build in the first place. It's an amazingly capital-intensive business, and the smaller scale you get, the more expensive the factory. So they probably paused at 14nm for as long as they could get away with because they wanted to make some money on the existing facilities before spending it all on the next generation.

QuoteMy current monitor doesn't turn on half the time now which is becoming a real nuisance to work with.

Thats usually the capacitors in the monitors power-supply dieing. I had to replace them in my 120 Hz monitor 2 years after I bought it with the same symptoms of it not turning on properly. After that it worked like a charm again :)

All you need is a soldering iron, replacement capacitors with the same capacity and same or higher voltage raitings. A bit of luck and determination is required to take the display and the bezel apart without breaking most of the little plastic anchors.

Look for any capacitors with a bulging top and replace them.

And don't forget to document the opening process with lots of pictures, else you might not be able to close it up again.

Thinking about buying it (eventually) but - I've got MASSES of games in my Steam library that I haven't tried yet - including Pillars of Eternity *and* Divinity Original Sin. So, for now, I'm holding onto my purse-strings.

As you speak of Empire Earth, anyone have launched it successfully with wine ?
I recently tried... I'm stuck in the main menu, such a pain, i loved this game.
But i won't install a Windows partition just for that unfortunately.

Talking to you guys got me kind a inspired so I wrote this thing over here:
http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/RadekBazak/20170517/298121/Biggest_LifeHack_of_IndieDev_Talk_to_them_.php

Also. We just exported the game for Linux and we are currently testing. I will need around 3-5 volunteers with Linux on board. One condition - have to be via Steam. Because you'll get a free Full version of the game.

So... you guys still think I'm pulling your leg to raise some hype and drop you off once you aren't needed? XD
I'll come back here with a link - once we'll get the Linux build parked on Valve servers.
Kudos! :D

Quoting: ajgpNice to see the work as always. Im just waiting on Witcher 3 to become playable decently, i mean obviously would prefer it to be ported but at this point im not optimistic!

The way it could have been "ported", could clearly only have been a wrapper. In this sense, I'd prefer Wine to support it properly.

Exactly Io is just the studio they can technically get any studio to make it
Yes, that's possible. But most of the time the games made by a new studio are worse then the original one. If you really want to keep a franchise alive you're better of fixing your current developer studios. I could imagine they just drop it.

Maybe but what else do they have, i know FF is crazy popular i have never seen the appeal but i get its popular.

I hadn't read about Cossacks until I this post(I am shocked myself), but this looks indeed really good!

It's even on a 40% Sale on Steam atm, but I'm not sure if I will get it on Steam, since I am unable to launch Steam (for the past week aprox), but it's a tempting deal, hope they make a sale when the Linux release happens! :D

Edit: You guys beat me to it, no Tux, no bucks :P

I'm running it on a laptop with an AMD apu and whatever the default graphics driver is in ubuntu.

It's been working since like wine-staging 2.2, but not a lot has improved since that release. Performance sucks, there's quite a few graphical bugs, and you need a controller to play because the keyboard freezes the game. Newer versions don't work due to DRM, you have to either crack the game or run offline to skip updates. I have version 2 if I remember correctly

I made a video on it here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5jyk9a

As most other people, I couldn't start the game after the latest update and so I went straight to GOL, hoping to find more info here. Sure as hell I did find it! :) Hopefully, they're gonna fix this soon, the scale of the issue suggests very poor testing routine (for Linux at least).
It's highly possible it's a Unity bug, as Unity Engine dev Tak commented above.

I did not, but I will records some gameplay and post it on my youtube channel with gallium hud enabled. Although, OBS usually causes a bit of a hit.

I have tried with Wine-Staging 2.7. Launcher starts, it logs me in the Social Club and then gives me error message and I can't start it.

I'm waiting here Wine-Staging 2.8 when it arrives in Manjaro repos.
I tried to install wine-gaming-nine 2.8 but it gave me error about incorrect package.
