I will definitely keep an eye on this as it will be the first 3D game akin to Dark Souls to hit Linux. We have received some 2D games akin to Dark Souls, but never 3D. If the big publishers won't deliver, then the independent developers will.
Valve have changed how gifting games works

There are two statistics of merit here:
1) The person who paid money for the game is running Linux.
2) The platform being used for playing the game.
The developer can gain both bits of information from Steam statistics generated by buying or playing the game.
On which note, I have a massive backlog of games, so the person buying is running Linux - and then there's no stats of anyone playing them (yet).

... but it's supposed to be played on Windows.
If there was no Windows version, the gifting wouldn't happen.

Quoting: g000hIt's not cheating the system. It is a Linux gamer who paid out the cash for the game.

To be honest, it's one way less for us to cheat the system. :)

I finished it during the early access. It is quite cool, somewhere between Rick dangerous and Broforce. Some parts are really difficult (not for casual gamers...).
This game looks curiously similar (at least for the pixel arts).

At least on my system looks like an memory allocation issue, try using jemalloc instead of the default binnedmalloc. Not sure for others, but works for me.

Quoting: ageresIf a game I already own gets ported to Linux, I buy a copy and store it in my inventory. I cannot gift it immediately because I don't have any friends using Linux, so that would be counted as a Windows sale AFAIK. So, what should I do now?I have done this a few times i.e. bought games on Linux, kept them for at least 15 days so that they would be permanently recorded as Linux sales, then gifted them to Windows users. Now Valve took even that away. This basically means that I can no longer gift games to friends who use Windows.

I gave it ten minutes to see how it faired, and I guess it's a lot like the Souls games. Died three times, and that made it quite a lot more exciting than I thought it'd be. The controls do feel extremely slippery though and therefore you feel like your opponents get an edge just because your keyboard didn't work the way you meant to (to be fair, on the main steam page it says that a controller is recommended).
I'm excited for this one and will definitely keep my eyes open for updates.

Albion Online to revamp the Hell Gate battles

PvP is exciting, but Albion's red areas mean full gear loss on death, which makes it extremely risky. It's pretty harsh. I'd okay more PvP if it was a percentage of your carried gold or similar. Or even a percentage of your overall wealth.

Using Unity 5.6 doesn't mean they're using Vulkan and i think it is not Vulkanized
since 5.6 vulkan its there, even if they dont use it by default i think it can be used via command line switch.

Worms W.M.D updated with a free game mode 'Forts'
By Adam_eM, 8 May 2017 at 11:34 pm UTC
Wow, that solved my problems with running the game. I was unable to launch it, thanks. The game itself is buggy as hell anyways :(.
By Adam_eM, 8 May 2017 at 11:34 pm UTC
Quoting: nadrolinuxIIRC workaround for a rendering issues with mesa was included in mesa 17.0. At now this game works without problems with radeonsi drivers and mesa 17.1 (I tested it with the last update 5 minutes ago^^), however you must remove libstdc++.so.6 from WormsWMD/lib path, without that a game will not launch which is a little sad (this file is restored with an each game update).

The 'Razer DeathAdder Chroma' is quite possibly the nicest mouse I've ever owned
By nitroflow, 8 May 2017 at 8:02 pm UTC
Depends on what you consider cheap and how willing you are to buy chinese products. There are a few chinese mice with AVAGO sensors that have a good reputation although I never used them, like the james donkey 325(currently $26 on amazon us, £20 on amazon UK, although I've seen an affiliate link for less and 22€ on amazon es), the redragon m802(seemingly unavailable) and the redragon m902(about $34 on amazon us, £30 on amazon uk and 33€ on amazon es).

I bought this when it became available for linux BUT it never worked and no sign of help from team17.
I got a refund as well. If it was just linux related I would have persevered and found something gentoo specific BUT even windows users couldn't launch
if this "free mode" is available for all I will re-install to try to see if it works & if this mode works then ill get the game again. BUT if it is a bolt on for the present game... no indication it will work
