QuoteOne major, but little feature is this "DLC can now be disabled in the DLC properties page for a game", so you can directly turn off DLC you own for a game if the game itself does not give you that option, could be pretty damned useful.

Awesome!

Quoting: lordfraggerLet's hope they go back to the UT 2k3 and before formula. I completely lost interest once they introduced vehicles and large maps.
I don't mind new mechanics as long as they keep them in seperate gamemodes. There is nothing wrong with pushing the engines limits if you keep everybody happy with classic gamemodes.

Team Fortress 2 did this when they added all the classic gamemodes and subsequently there is a competitive scene for it.
Exactly, and that is what Unreal Tournament 2004 did. I don't understand how lordfragger lost interest if they were not forced to play those particular game modes.

To be honest, UT3 never making it to Linux wasn't that much of a loss. I loved UT2004 to bits and spent countless hours in it, and I kinda refuse to recognize UT3 as a proper Unreal Tournament at all. It was bad and not UT at all.

Since they seem to be pretty serious about Linux support in UE4, I don't doubt the next flagship game of it will support Linux. If they actually realize what UT was actually all about and manage to make a good game again, instead of a horrid Gears of War clone? That's another question.

It is cool, like it!
Quoting: gbudnyWhy Wine developers have focused on fixing bugs in games and applications which are available for Linux? I do no get it.
Some folks (e.g., Joel Spolsky thinks that you must not write new code until you have unfixed bugs. It is hard and it is not the case with Wine development. But hey, do you keep a bug in a code you work on just because it is used in rare cases you can use native programs for GNU/Linux?

They arent.

As you report bug, the bug gets id number. Wine database has over 30000 reported bugs. Some reports are abandon, no status update for years. Then suddenly someone tries the game with recent wine and it works --> marked fixed in new wine changelog.

They aren't actually fixing the bugs that you see in changelog.

Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan Continues To Sell Well On Linux
By Xodetaetl, 2 May 2014 at 8:49 pm UTC

QuoteWhen their ancient spring of life begins to fail, an unwanted orphan child must leave the safety of his villages' mountaintop refuge. With only an ancient sword and a mysterious metal glove, he ventures into lands unexplored and twisted by strange ancient powers.

That's three times "ancient". This word is overused among fantasy games but they managed to overuse it in a single paragraph.

I'm a bit surprising it's doing as well as it is, given how poorly it's reviewing. The best I can see right off is 7.2 on Gamespot, but everywhere else I look is giving it much lower. The reviews on Steam seem to hate it, which puts me off laying down cash without some assurance I'm getting something worthwhile.

Anyone here have good experiences with the game?
