AMD's Mantle May Still Come To Linux, Despite Other Websites Reports

Quoting: OrkultusI think AMD should sell off their GPU section, and just stick to CPUS. At least they do that right.

AMD at the moment lack in CPU horse power and are great in gpu, if they sell the gpu section i don't know if they can compete anymore...

I think I mentioned about staying on topic earlier... We are talking about Mantle, not AMD's hardware.

In 2009, when the brand-new laptop I'd bought had its ATI chip declared "legacy" by ATI, I vowed to never buy another ATI graphics card again. I have been true to that vow. Hell, even the justly-despised Intel graphics have better GNU/Linux support than ATI, still.

Planets³ Didn't Hit The Linux Stretch Goal, But The Developers Don't Want To Exclude Linux

Quoting: GNUzelI say we use this page on the Internet as the beacon that shows Linux users' interest. I would buy that game immediately if I saw it released for Linux. Just like I am buying Goat Simulator the moment the Linux one is for sale.

That's me and The Banner Saga. The day I can get The Banner Saga on Linux is the day they get my money. It looks like a fantastic game, and I really want to play it, but not until it's on Linux.

I too dislike the Linux stretch goal. I generally don't support games unless it's going to support Linux upfront.

Kalypso Media Bringing More Games To Linux In The Future, Not Just Tropico 5

The new issue of PC Gamer has a big article about the upcoming awesomeness of Tropico 5, and we'll be able to play it on Linux the day it comes out!

I am out as well but not because of DayZ or things like that but because of system requirements. My main PC is an AMD E350 with a GeForce 9500GT and well able to run more demanding titles like Xonotic and UT2k4 but I the last time I came across a lot of bad optimized titles like Paranautical Activities or Sir you are being hunted. I am not shure if this is an issue of the graphics engines used but anything that looks identical / worse than UT99 and slows down my AMD E350 will not find its way to my PC.

Don't get me wrong: More games for Linux are great but not if they require much more ressources than equally or better looking games from 6-10 years ago.

Weird, neither of us ran into that bug yet, with a total of 5 towns started so far (some in easy mode, some in normal). In my main town I've got the academy maxed out to level 5 now...

At first I had problems with a crash on start, but that turned out to be just because I hadn't installed the basic x86 libs yet on this 64-bit install and the stained-glass movie part needed one of them (not an obvious dependency shown with 'ldd', but something in ia32-libs must have been needed because installing them solved the problem).

Is this in the steam version? Seems I'm not the only one with this issue

Quoting: SpeedsterMy other half and I both got copies, and played it a ton of hours already without being finished for even one of the three town types on normal difficulty. The boss battles are pretty hard -- I've needed to experiment with combinations of troops, spells, and items to get by each one. ReignMaker is definitely worth the full price from my perspective, let alone the sale price.

Fist Puncher Plans To Annihilate Linux

TB's video does not make me very excited :P Granted, I've never been a fan of beat-em-up's. I've recently been playing a lot of NES games (since us youngsters have missed out) and this looks a lot like River City Ransom, which I can't say I'm a big fan of.

I worry that they rely too much on the dual wielding control thing, while it seems to be more visual stimulation, rather than a good game mechanic.
Other than that, it looks quite interesting. Kind of want it now, just because I've just watched The Raid.
