Looks like another Space Colony-like. I loved that game, so I'll probably pick this up some time, when it's on Linux.

confirming it works.. few graphical glitches on highest settings though. like some random black square appears for 0.5s or something, nothing game breaking however.

game looks and controls super good.

This poll has to be severely skewed based on what fan sites out there who happen to have linked to this poll so far. That WiiU domination is a joke.

Still, it's really cool to see SteamOS being almost as strong as the PS4. Let's enjoy that while it last. :)
I don't think the Wii U domination is a joke at all tbh, 6 million units sold and no proper racing game on the system. Meanwhile Xbox and PS have Forza and GT, why would they even care for this game?

From I get, the GOG and Steam versions both use an unofficial patch for the original binary that was made by an anonymous French programmer. This patch was, in all likeliness, made using the recovered source code, but since it was a patch to a binary that someone still owns the copyright for, and it was released anonymously in the public domain, it's okay for license holders to use that, but not the source code for the reasons liamdawe mentioned.

Queue the "what do you call 1000 lawyers..." jokes.

I just voted for Steam OS. As for the Wii U, Project CARS is the last AAA game in the pipe for the Wii U after Watch Dogs (if WD ever gets a Wii U release date, which is questionable), so it's not a shock Wii U fans are turning out in droves.

Us Linux fans are also swamping the results. At the time of this posting
Xbone - 3.54%
ps4 - 12%
Steam OS 18.38%
Windows 18.55%
Wii U 47.53&

So according to this poll the Steam OS version will outsell the Xbone, PS4 & match Windows 1 to 1. I like seeing the results, but I don't believe them to be accurate.

Source? As far as I'm aware, they just used the community patches, though I can't say I'm on top of Windows releases.

EDIT: I said 'it seems' implying that it's only my interpretation but after having read the whole interview on RPS I can't possibly see it other way.

@c704710 weeks! or months. I'll make sure it won't get past 2 months :) I am using Unity engine, so moving to Linux/OSX should be easier, but with my past experience, there are tiny problems that might come up. So there's that. If no problem came up, then it could just be days ( I am hoping this is the case ) :)

Indeed, a company can't just use someones "found" source-code, they would need to audit every-line character by character to make sure there was no tampering...and that's too time consuming for anyone to do.
