Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded is out now for Linux

Quoting: KristianIt looks like I won't be buying this. GOG obviously doesn't have the Linux version but what is worse it appears the Linux version is not on Steam either and you have to buy it on the Replay Games website. But there are two problems with that: A)You need an account there and B) You must choose one platform. Windows OR Linux OR Mac.

A) may not have stopped me were it not for B). But so long as I can't get this with Steamplay or the equivalent I am not getting this.
Wow that's quite bad, I have emailed them to get some answers.

To have Steam Play for Windows and Mac only yet buy on their site for only one platform, that's stupid.

Someone on the GOG forums is claiming it is an error with the games description on Steam and that it actually does have the Linux version. The only thing I know is that TUX is missing on the games Steam page.

Edit:

Fixed the error.

Quoting: toorwould it be safe to pay it on steam? I mean, are we sure it will be available on steam linux?
I myself would only buy a title once it is actualy available for Linux to ensure that it counts as a sale for Linux as well as to be on the safe side.

I can't wait for Black Mesa to get ported.  That game is awesome, and one of the last reasons for me to have Steam in wine.

Personally, I would wait for it to come out on Steam for Linux. (If it ever does) We are not sure.

As I have understood it elsewhere this is the first kickstarted game to have literally shipped, as in had a boxed retail release.

I' am waiting for Portal 2. Got that game for a while, but never played. Waiting for that sweet Linux port to arrive.

Half-Life 2, EP1, EP2 and Lost Coast exit beta on Linux!

In my experience Half-Life 2 port is as good as it can be. The last time I played, it was still in beta, but I have not noticed any major issues. Only some minor texture problems (it seemed that an object got full-bright in one short scene), and a door that did not open after pulling a switch (which worked fine after I reloaded the last save). There were more bugs in Half-Life 1 final than Half-Life 2 beta.

By the way, if you are able to buy from a Danish web shop, you can get The Orange Box for half a price of that on Steam. Check the sales section.

To quote an email I woke up to, MOAR SALES!

All of Pixeljam's games are on sale, minimum price is $1.00. I wasn't sure how to put them into the sales chart since it's a bundle.

I bought Interstellar Marines, about 8 months ago, and since then i haven't been able to play any of the demo's on their page cause they require "Unity Webplayer Plugin". They just now gave us Steam keys, and it's available to play pre-release for the people who paid for "Spearhead" rank. Next week it will be available. Although they still dont have a Linux version, and it wont be on steam next week. They said there is alot of "Middleware" that doesn't work on Linux. So i dont even know when or if a Linux version is going to come out. I guess im out 50 dollars.

A contender to Unity for Linux appears, enter Leadwerks
By , 27 June 2013 at 10:27 pm UTC

Hi, this is Josh, the founder of Leadwerks. In Leadwerks 3 we chose to focus first on the editor and art pipeline. Graphics are something I know well, so I am choosing to add the OpenGL 4 renderer last. I think the tools need to form the foundation and the graphics are the "icing on the cake". The plan is to finish the OpenGL 4 renderer, which is partially done now, and Linux support around the same time. I explained this in my blog over a year ago, so it's not like anyone was taken by surprise by our development plan.

Some of the screenshots in the video are showing the OpenGL 4 renderer and some are showing the old OpenGL 2 renderer. I wrote both, and they're all representative of the final product we're building. I've been working with deferred rendering for seven years, and most of it is just copy & paste.

The user posting this was banned from our forum for making inappropriate jokes about "roofies" in my blog.

I think what they mean is that it's the first big, high-pledge Kickstarter (adventure) game to be released after Tim Schafer started the "Kickstarter game revolution" with his DoubleFine-Adventure. But you are rigght, it isn't very well formulated - they should have stated it differently.
However, it may be my first Kickstarter game (and I didn't even pledge).

What over kickstarter games have shipped though?  At least of anything near this size and was started after a kickstater was launched?
