Prison Architect is coming to Linux soon
By Liam Dawe, 24 February 2013 at 8:30 pm UTC

Quoting: s_dAny idea if that's the retail release, or if there will be a Linux beta (or RC, or something)?
I imagine it will be in Alpha still for quite some time, i doubt the Linux release will be full retail probably still in Alpha.

The Humble Bundle Mojam 2!
By Cheeseness, 24 February 2013 at 7:45 pm UTC

I imagine we'll see Linux builds for the Wolfire game at some stage as well. Since what this bundle is selling is a window into and a chance to be a part of the development process, the Linux title count isn't too big a deal (to me at least), especially given the really short development timeframe which didn't really allow time for cross-platform porting or testing.

Quoting: KIAazeI see you used the character from the OGA game Last Escape.
I will have to try it.
That was an accident :P, it was submitted art from Opengameart. But, yeah, the game itself isn't very long, it was just a collaborative effort that I enjoyed.

By Liam Dawe, 23 February 2013 at 4:39 pm UTC

Quoting: CheesenessIf you buy it from the Humble Store widget on their site, you get Steam keys *and* a Linux build (best of both worlds). That's a way better offer than the USC, IMO.
+1 to this, USC is just another way of locking yourself into a platform I refuse to buy anything on it to have to be locked to Ubuntu (even though i use Ubuntu i don't wish to be locked to it).

I just hope LoG does come to Steam. I am doubtful on them replying to my email asking about it.

Well, Waiting is pretty long sometimes, also maybe it only me but the mouse is OVER sensitive I needed to take him to  400DPI  so I can play normally, also the game is really new so lots of people who don't know what to do at all are inside, I didn't figure out if you gain something from "leveling" so right now the game fells like standing in place..

By Cheeseness, 23 February 2013 at 12:38 am UTC

Quoting: rudeboyskunkYes, you get a Steam key (like I did from HIB), but the developers haven't actually uploaded a Linux binary, so the game sits in your library, unable to be installed ("Not available for your platform.")

Ah, sorry. I wasn't meaning to imply that it was available for Linux on Steam yet, just that you get a native DRM free build and a Steam key that will work if they ever make it available on Steam for Linux, which makes it a much better option than the USC.

AirBuccaneers Coming to Linux... Eventually
By , 23 February 2013 at 12:31 am UTC

I was really interested in this a few months ago, so I perused the forums, but lots of people were complaining about the Russians on the game coming onto your airship and taking over, relegating you to menial, boring tasks so they can do all the fun stuff.

Cool with a live chat with Ron.

By Cheeseness, 22 February 2013 at 10:44 pm UTC

Ah, I had issues getting it streaming nicely, so alphatt will be streaming the game. I'm going to be streaming a live chat with Ron Gilbert at the start of the session though (which, thanks to some sound issues that I don't have time to sort out, will be being done from a Mac :( ), so you can still get your Cheese fix from that :D

Quoting: rudeboyskunkNot available for me   "This game is not available in your region."  Racists.  (live in Korea)

I shot them a tweet asking if they had any plans to make it available, but haven't heard back yet. I'm pretty confident that it has nothing to do with race ^_^

Quoting: AnonI hope they actually release the first game on Steam for Linux. Also, no word on there being an actual Linux version.
So true, they ignoring the posts on steam forum and on their own, they got the linux build from HiB from 23-12-12 so why not post it ?  And no mention of linux on LoG2.... I will probably end up buying it and use Wine, just love the old DM games :)
