i'm vice versa to MaximB. i get bored of RPG's, because of boring grind.
i like more MMORPGs, where the social aspect is pretty strong and PvP fights spice up the game for me.
fighting against real players always more fun for me than fighting against scripted A.I.
+ pvp adds more variety.

looking forward to this one.

It's so sad to keep seeing upcoming linux games saying "will port to linux after windows release"...

Still, it looks really nice. I'll definitely keep an eye on this one.

MMORPG's are usually boring, I'd much prefer a good RPG game instead.
Also I'm happy to see more games use the UNIGINE engine.

Can't wait!

Great game to have on Linux and I reckon I'll sink quite a few hours into it.

And yeah, those moaners in the comments section are both hilarious and sad at the same time. Because their running their Windows machine probably bought by mummy and never pay attention to anything else they only care about their patches...

You would think that with all that immature reaction and comments from the windows users, that no one would want to continue to support people like that. They completely just sound like a bunch of morons, who mostly just rip on Linux because they dont know what the hell it is. I for one thing would not support people like that.

This game is going to be amazing to have on Linux. The second it is released, i will own it.

Just read a few of the comments, you can garuntee the people making them are either 1) under 18 or 2) haven't been away from their windows pc screen for more than 5 minutes in a day heh....the typical comments of a Windows moron.

the visuals in that promo trailer are very impressive, i wonder how detailed the maps of the cities are but i would guess the real depth comes from running the company and expanding it

Quoting: "Bumadar, post: 7616, member: 93"that is not new though, linux was listed on the kickstarter, reason I funded it :)

The Kickstarter project page says that Linux would be amongst additional platforms targeted depending on how beyond the funding goal the campaign was able to go. The January 8th Kickstarter update made Linux sound uncertain as well.

QuoteYes, we’re still planning on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android versions. Linux is still a real possibility. Unity 4 makes porting it relatively easy. But it does involve whole additional testing cycles that aren’t in the budget (timewise or moneywise).

Here's what I think - Organ Trail and the troubles of Steam Greenlight
By Hamish, 12 January 2013 at 8:01 pm UTC

I still think that Greenlight is only a half-measure which only somewhat levels the playing field for independent developers. This does definitely show why the need for other services such as Desura and the like are so important.

The Sad State About Japanese Devs And Linux
By , 12 January 2013 at 6:24 pm UTC

Quoting: "Cheeseness, post: 7611, member: 122"Is this a dominant culture amongst Japanese developers, or just one dev who doesn't quite understand things (there are plenty of Western developers who think that there's no market for Linux games)?

Well, Carpe Fulgur speaks about all their partners, so it seems to be the dominant culture.
At least most western indie developers consider Linux.

The Sad State About Japanese Devs And Linux
By , 12 January 2013 at 3:31 pm UTC

I would really like these games to be on Linux. I have been looking for more Japanese language games!

I think PC gaming overall, Linux or not has never been really that big in Japan compared to other countries. Japan's focus has mainly been on consoles and hand held gaming (as they made most of them). A lot of people who do PC game do so in Manga/Internet Cafe's and all the computers there usually use XP.

Unless a Linux Value Steam box or Ubuntu Phone can break it's way into Japan then best you can hope for is maybe an Android port.
