Backed it, but I have some questions:
- How long will it approximately take to play through a chapter?
- How many chapters are planned?
- In what time intervals do you plan to release them?
I guess you can, at best, provide very vague estimations, but I'd still like to have a basic idea of the scale of this game.

Have to say personally im with xpander still dissapointed by ToM as I loved the look of it and we have enough fast paced shooters in my mind.
Goodluck though and I hope you deal better with criticism and trolls nowadays :)
What will you do if you do not hit the full funding? According to the site you will get any funding so you dont have to hit the whole goal just curious because of the ToM issue. Did ToM supporters get a refund? If I back anything it needs security.

Steam Linux Beta now open to all! Plus other bits of Steam.

I want to give it a try but I don't think it'll be easy to install in Debian. The propietary software integration syndrome. Hey Valve, it's easier to make it distribution neutral than what you've done. One thing is they don't offer support to other distributions, but giving a fuck about cross-distribution standards... This is not Windows.

Mh, I won't say no. Just reinstalled to check whether any optional dependency was listed, but nothing showed up.
But it may very well have been listed at any point in time. I tend to check those and install whatever seems of interest, but my memory's a sieve, unfortunately. Anyway, here goes:
All of them are from AUR (and all 0.4 versions could do with an update as the latest version is 12.10 indeed, I'll have to do just that, you never know what may happen - unlikely to help though, as Steam is an x86 app). :)
Final edit - Just updated them. No change, as expected.

intresting, no missing dep as far as I know and yes x64. did a few more searches, seems to be hit and miss and needs libappindicator from AUR on arch.. ?

KDE SC 4.9.4
Obvious Arch is obvious (x64 FWIW)
Steam build: latest (don't ask, I don't watch their release dates THAT closely. xD)
So yeah, fugly blank icon (as pictured), but still better than no icon at all. Missing dependency maybe?
EDIT - Just checked. Built: dec 19 too. Weird.

Torque 3D for Linux

One thing that set Torque3D apart from the arguably superior engines now supporting Linux is:
-Its open source
-They plan to port the entire tool chain, not just the engine. So games can also be developed on Linux (unlike Unity for example)
Also there are some really cool games being developed with Torque 3D:
-Dead State: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/70755535/dead-state-the-zombie-survival-rpg
-Age of Decadence: http://www.irontowerstudio.com/

Quoting: "Hamish, post: 7179, member: 6"Look, I understand that Ubuntu is their main target, but not supporting the FreeDesktop.org system tray standard (as far as I am aware that is the problem, could just be talking out of my hat) is a really stupid situation to be in. What about Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Kubuntu users?

As a counterpoint - the devs have taken an engine that worked on Linux and somehow managed to break that. There are by far many better and more cross-platform engines. So, keep that in mind

Thanks for pre-ordering! I don't think it's relevant to mention that. If we had number of preorders comparable to money that SS:BR sales brought it, then yes, I would mentioned that as a source of funding that dried up way before Steal sales dried up.

But they write in the discussion that it will be 32bit only. That's quite disenchanting.

QuoteIt’s not that we are going to go out of our way to ignore other distros, but we will only guarantee Ubuntu 32bit for this campaign.
