have to agree with you on some of your comments, I got SteelStorm 1 and did find it very bland. It was only because of the HiB3 that I came into contract with SteelStorm 2 and was pleasantly surprised. Feel a bit sad though that your cut was so little. New missions will be a must buy though :)

Btw, the video featured in the interview is not the video of "Tomes of Mephistopheles" :P

I can't say for sure what engine we will be using. We are performing internal testing after which we can conclude which engine is most suitable for the project.

I assume that "Tomes of the Mephistopheles" is going to be using their Unigine license?
I will hopefully be getting Steel Storm down along with some of my other HIB3 titles over Thanksgiving since my uncle is lucky enough to have unlimited internet. I can give a proper opinion of the game then.

Announcing Ensign 1!

I mean in the grand scheme of things it's really not all that many, not many up to date ones anyway. I am looking forward to Ensign though since it should offer quite a lot from the look of it.
Also Enemy Territory - i wish they would release an up to date version now the source is out.

Well, of course there are the id games (Quakes, Doom 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein), Prey of course, there was Soldier of Fortune from Loki (still available from Fun4Tux and Amazon.com last time I checked), Shogo and SiN from Hyperion (although Shogo has sadly gone out of stock from TuxGames, and the SiN port sucks by all accounts), Postal2 with the various mods and expansions, plus all of those games with source ports. And that is simply off the top of my head.

Yes it is.
I haven't actually seen that many commercial single player shooters for Linux?

Yes it is.
Quoting: "Hamish, post: 2376"The game does look interesting, but since this is going to be commercial and we already have plenty of single-player non-death-match commercial shooters for Linux, I do not quite understand your aside. This game is a uniqe take on everything though, like Helena was. So it is nice and different.
I wonder how well Helena did for them in the end. Maybe they should try and sneak it into the current bundle... ;)

ACHRON IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
How did this get past GamingOnLinux and LinuxGamingNews?!!!!
-> http://www.achrongame.com/site/index.php
And you get one additional free copy if you buy it!
The bad news: 64-bit only and "experimental build", but still quite good news. :)

Linux: 64-bit GNU/Linux; it is a working experimental build that requires either the proprietary ATI or Nvidia graphic card drivers. We are planning to support Mac and 32-bit GNU/Linux in the future.

I'm in as well now. :)
Redeemed all my humble bundle desura keys, except HIB1, which didn't have any unfortunately.
Most HIB games seem to work, except a few like "Machinarium" and "Revenge of the titans" which crash Desura.
I also tried Urban terror, which worked without any issues.
So overall, very satisfied and very happy. :)

QuoteAn interesting note here is that Mac sales in our own store did not go down as a other online outlets like Steam started to provide mac versions; meaning it did not steal our customers but opened up to a new market. We think it is a good incentive for other stores to support Linux as well! - Frictional Games

we can hope for both. they are little different.
desura is mostly indie games and addons/mods for games.
while steam has all different stuff.
i really like the desura thingy but i still hope that steam will come to linux some day.
the more choices the better it is imo. like linux itself: freedom of choice.
i would use them both.

Its exiting that they finally got it working but I do worry a bit that Gameolith.com might have to pay the price for it. Is the linux market big enough to sustain both ?
ooh and Phoronix will hype Desura to no end while being pretty negative about Gameolith.com when it was released.
Time will tell.
