Hey, the fact that he already has even a basic teasear out shows they are hard at work already. It takes a while to make a good RPG game.

Quoting: "tweakedenigma, post: 1340"I am a little disapointed to see the numbers so low, However it looks like I might be buying two copies as I have heard a Mac Version will also be released and the GF will enjoy this game too.

I hope you right, but from what I keep hearing (and asking Unigine and getting the same answer) No MacOS port of Unigine is planned ... why ? I really don't know.
So if the engine won't support MacOS then sadly the game won't be native ...

On the other hand I *might* have some EXCELLENT non unigine related news soon... (when I will confirm this and find the time to post).

I have done some work to pimp the game on my own:

http://forums.transfusion-game.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2428

But to quote what I said in that thread, "They still would like more pre-order sales, but frankly this seems to be as much their fault as anyone else's. They simply have not done enough marketing, and you do not even need to spend money on it to get the word out. Linux users have been very generous, but Windows users basically have not shown up, and that is because it has not been marketed to them. That is why I posted this thread of course, but still, Unigine needs to learn how to market its games."

Welcome to the forums! :)

Personally I'm really not interested what he has said in the past, if Super Meat Boy materialises on Linux it can only help those of us who are interested in gaming on the linux platform. the more games that are produced for our platform of choice the better. Which in turn will produce more people willing to give Linux as their OS a chance. More games, More users, and hopefully we can get out of this catch 22 situation Linux is in.

I have no interest in giving this guy any money after hearing this interview with him (skip to around 43:55):

"There'll also be a Linux version, because (laughing) we're gonna waste our time with a Linux version (laughs). Linux is garbage."

"I can't wait for some Linux programmer guy to e-mail me and say "I'll port this for free", because I already have the e-mail already written that I'm going to send back to him, and basically tell him to fuck off, indefinitely."

"The source belongs to me, alright. So open source, no way. Linux, Linux can fuck off for all I care."

That's not exactly right, that was his initial thoughts, he is re-working it at the moment.

What's for sure is that C2 will be closed source, bad times. My dreams of a Linux GUI officially down the drain.

Temple of Tangram (beta)

See the link, the episode was "Waiting for God" from good 'ol Series 1.

I was introduced to Red Dwarf by my parents. Back when they were living in Calgary and B.C. they recorded a bunch of the British comedies that were playing on the nearest American PBS station at the time (Blackadder, Red Dwarf, etc...). So when I was growing up we would watch those tapes, complete with the tedious pledge drives. Sadly, the only time I knew of a Canadian station playing it was around ten years ago on Bravo when they would sometimes play Series 7 and 8, and at one point we saw one on BBC Canada which has REALLY gone downhill since then.

Not that the Dwarf is exactly unknown here, my father was able to buy Series 4 and 6 on tape when he was temporarily living in B.C. for work (and thus gave us some relief from the pledge drives) and the Edmonton Public Library has every episode of Red Dwarf on DVD, as well as most of the novels. But I would not call it a big hit.

Still, I can see another thread split coming.

When you create a sprite it should auto-open the sprite editor (in my case it opened paint), what happens when you add in a sprite in Wine?
