Quoting: Dmitri SeletskiJust for those who think its supported by actual dev, we have seen devs changing mind and removing compatibility before.
I personally wont consider title, till it's 50% or less in price. If I risk - it gotta be good value.
Anti-cheat has to be intentionally turned on for us for it to work. Squad has worked for a long time, it’s Glibc that broke it and other titles.

Paradox Interactive completely cancelled Life by You (update Paradox Tectonic to close)

Seems like another reminder that just because someone previously worked for a big name (EA), on a big game (The Sims) doesn't mean they can deal with a new team very well. People put far too much faith in names over actual true ability to run something.

It has been confirmed for a long time that playing with Proton counts as a Linux purchase.

This is also noted on the Steam Tracker.

Quoting: Pikolo`Ubuntu Core 22 64 bit` is probably the snap version of Steam - is the the default packaging on Ubuntu 24.04?
Ah, Ubuntu changed the default package type found in software centre to be snap, and Steam snap is out of beta.
A bit late on this, but it is indeed the Snap package confirmed by Canonical.

Well, that dashes that hope right to the rocks...
Denuvo doesn't stop games working with Proton.

I've messaged the developer, and emailed Valve about it because it keeps happening.

It's fixed. I can play the Linux version now. Thank you for the effort.
Good stuff, it’s exactly what I told them it was :)

Quoting: DodgerI bought the game today. The Linux version isn't available. The size of the game is exactly 0 bytes. This happens a lot lately.
It appears they've set it for both Linux and Steam Deck, they need to remove the Steam Deck setting on it, since that forces it to be only downloadable on Steam Deck.

Valve really need to improve the messaging in the Steam admin.
