The Queer Games Bundle returns for 2024

I get why they did it, because some of the bundles have been truly massive and would spam your library. But, not giving users the option to do it anyway is a poor choice.

Hi all, please keep it on topic to the subject and try to leave any personal attacks and the wider political situation at the door. If people go overboard, comments will be removed and users warned. Keep it as chill as you can.

I don't like to close comments, or force comments into a moderation queue, but we will do what we must to keep the peace.

Linux user share on Steam breaks 2% thanks to Steam Deck

Quoting: DouzejuIn light of the recent bot farm discoveries surrounding TF2, we might reconsider these numbers and try to understand how many *human* Steam users are using Limux…
Linked is an good hour long video that describes the problem, but tl;dw 75% of tf2 "players" are bot-farms using text-mode tf2 to drop crates and sell them on the market.
I highly doubt bot farms are going to be manually opting into the survey when it appears, they won't want to be tracked at all. This is not an automatic thing remember, it's a manual entry survey Valve pops up in the Steam client.

Garry Newman of Facepunch comments on the Nintendo takedown of Garry's Mod content

Quoting: ReverieMotifI got really intrigued when I read the words "present evidence" but after reading the whole blog post it's just garry giving his observations without providing anything substantial, which anybody could have done. I think most people are just unhappy with his vague wording of "been assured that it's real" on twitter, and this blog post doesn't do a great job of clearing stuff up aside him saying he's received confirmations of nintendo themselves (without showing any proof, although I know Garry probably isn't supposed to do that) and I think the reason everyone's so cynical and doubtful of everything is due to a lack of reassurance and/or evidence
You don't generally show screenshots of private emails about this kind of thing, or present recordings of phone calls. What are you expecting from it exactly? The company that makes the game have said repeatedly now, they've confirmed it is Nintendo. Why do you need more? It's weird.

Quoting: ToricJust recently finished it, and yah, the EA launcher canceled game night on more than one occasion.
I have someone desperate to play it with me, and I kept on saying no for that reason. Now I guess I have no excuse heh.

No leaving a Steam account in a will after you die according to Valve

Quoting: NyxWouldn't you just use steam family sharing and pass it down that way.
They can't login to the account but most of your library is still kind of passed on ?
This is mentioned in the article. But, that would require someone to share before they die. And whoever wants the account passed on may not have it shared, that doesn't really solve the issue at hand, and not all games are available via family sharing.

QuoteCampaign mode: Clear floors filled with robots, and in crucial moments, execute ultraviolent finishes on your enemies to survive.
Being a fan of robots, I'm not sure I'm ok with that.

Anyway, seriously, this game looks really cool - great to see more vibrant stuff emerging after so many generations of games coloured only with sloppy shades of grey-and-brown! LOVE the mock-up box at the end of the trailer, too!
The brown era certainly was interesting.
