Quoting: ShabbyX> Support for widescreen monitors with almost any resolution. You can change the resolution without restarting the game, and in windowed mode, changing the window size dynamically adjusts the game resolution.

Sad reality is that this is so hard to be considered a feature. Especially with Vulkan.
Well, this is in comparison to the original game, which is from 2004.

Quoting: kuhpunktThey really need to work on their marketing. I don't think it was necessary to play the game for a full hour. There is no value in seeing that uncut. At least switch the game and present the performance in a variety of titles.
This isn't really meant as marketing, not in a traditional sense. IMO it's more like them showing off their workshop a bit for people curious. At least, I hope their actual real marketing is higher quality...

Valheim: Ashlands is out now with a supremely cool animated trailer

Quoting: PhlebiacI agree that the animated trailer looks cool, but I'm not sure what the point of it is? The gameplay trailer is more representative of the actual game, right? Are there animation sequences similar to the animated trailer in the game at all?
It's simple: marketing. Literally all it is. It generates hype. The same reason any game has a non-gameplay trailer.

Quoting: ShabbyXRecently started Valheim over the hype with the expectation that I won't like it (not into survival games in general). But damn, this game is fun!

Won't forget my first encounter with a troll that's for sure.
You never forget the first time you get killed by a falling tree either lol

Quoting: Liam DaweThey did briefly try something in the past

That has to be it, didn't Ubisoft and/or 2k look into this as well?
Many pubs have tried to do so yes.

Quoting: basedIsn't this old news? Or wrong company
No, it's very clearly their 2024 report. They did briefly try something in the past, but they're once again looking at it and as quoted, have people working on it.

I explained the issue to them, it actually *should* be solved for the demo now.

Quoting: RomlokNote that the native Linux demo is currently broken, in that the wrong Steam depot is connected so that we get the Windows files instead. Classic "missing executable"! 🤦
Should be fixed now, was wrongly tagged as Steam Deck only.
