I feel the need to chime in this once on the topic.

Any funds taken from Patreon will still be used towards GamingOnLinux, only now with the funds distributed as needed to any editors that step up towards games, hardware, whatever as needed.

I urge anyone not comfortable with anything to remove their pledges. No hard feelings, as it's of course your money. I will also update my own article to reflect this, and the Patreon has already been updated directly.

I will still be dealing with the accounting as I am the owner, so turning on GOL Premium for people, sites coding, hosting issues etc. I just quit writing articles as I'm crap at PR and taking the shit from people.

I'm actually surprised Desura is high as it is! Good though it's nice for Steam to have some competition for Linux gamers money.

There isn't much point for a survey like this to split the distros up like that. That's going a little overboard in my opinion, this is to get a general idea.

Also I've filled it out myself now.

Steam Now Has Over 700 Linux Games, What A Milestone!

What the hell is "circle-jerking"? Seems like a rather childish term.

15-20? Erm no. I currently have around 60 games installed on Steam alone from my rather big Steam library and all of them I consider to be of good quality ports.

I'm going to guess you're the person who emailed me to complain at me to write an article on bad ports, which I already did.

Your standards are obviously nonsensical if you only class "20 games MAX" to be of good quality.

Also HI welcome to our comments, saying "5hit" doesn't make you look cool either. Try to make a more reasonable argument next time eh?

I just tried it, and sadly after about 10 minutes it just completely locked up :(

We are streaming Borderlands 2 (Updated with VODs)
2 October 2014 at 8:04 pm UTC

Stream is now finished, we did ~3 hours without any crashes which was fantastic.

The only issue is audio desyncs as OBS Studio isn't quite up to scratch with pulseaudio yet.

Steam Hardware Survey For September 2014, Linux Rises
2 October 2014 at 4:32 pm UTC Likes: 1

Quoting: Armand RaynalPlease Liam, create the steam groupe of people who don't buy games if they are not at least anouced for GNU/Linux.

With an article about it here, this groupe would grow fastly.
As mentioned by someone else it already exists (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/OnlyBuyLinuxGames).

I won't be joining it and if the owner is reading...please stop inviting me.

I've cleaned up the comments that had nothing to do with this. Can we stay on topic just once please.
