Armello gets full Linux support restored with cross-platform online play
22 November 2022 at 6:58 pm UTC

Great! I wasn't able to get the game refunded after they dropped Linux support for online games (Steam refused to process it, even though I shared a link to the post where the devs were saying they authorised the refund), but if I had, I'd be re-buying it now. Great game to play with friends.

Quoting: TermyThe only way to get rid of such bullshit is to vote with your wallet. So boycotting EA is the only right thing to do ^^

lol i can't believe people actually think this to this day. voting with your wallet does nothing
Not true, it means I have more money to spend on more deserving developers.

Quoting: amataiWait, what ? Wasn't this a NCurses game on everyone's distro repos ? How can it be not available on Linux ?

Dwarf Fortress Classic will continue to be available on Linux, this is a new "more accessible" version with better graphics, mouse support, etc.

Pity the Linux version isn't going to be available on day one, I'd love to buy this to show my support. Hopefully the graphics make it more accessible for people who were put off by the text/tileset-based graphics, although I'm sure the steep learning curve will still be there. :D

I just replayed The Secret of Monkey Island. I had hoped to replay the whole series before this dropped, but time got away from me.

In any case. Bought.

Had some good fun playing split-screen Portal 2 on my Docked Deck with my partner earlier. Besides that, I'm replaying Resident Evil: Code Veronica X on a 4k screen via RPCS3. Great fun.

Finally -- a use for the 200k steam points I've accumulated.

A lot of people were clearly waiting on the official Steam Deck Docking Station

Mine is arriving tomorrow, although I mostly use my Deck to stream video from my Desktop (minidlna to vlc), so I'm not sure the dock will see much use.

The new Steam Mobile App is getting close to release

Neat! No problems on Android either. I signed up, downloaded the update (apparently I last updated Steam on Android over a year ago), and logged back in. Presumably Steam realised that my phone was my MFA device and didn't prompt me for a one time password, but it did drop me at the MFA QR code screen, which confused me for a moment ("what am I supposed to scan?").

The updated app is much better, hopefully it goes live for all users soon.

The Undead are invading Prison Architect in the next expansion

Shoehorning zombies in? That's a bit disappointing. I guess that's why it's an optional expansion though. Personally, I'll be giving it a miss.
