You should avoid the stock Firefox install on Steam Deck as it's badly outdated (updated)

Interesting choice to have firefox baked into the image -- it'll pull in the gtk3 stack () and increase the size of the image considerably (would add ~300MiB to my plasma system). If they just need a basic browser for people to use to navigate to flathub or whatever, konqueror might fill that niche (+~25MiB).

Wow, guess this site is a teenager now. I hope this doesn't mean it's going to start smelling strongly of Lynx and erupting in spots.

Happy birthday GoL, and congratulations Liam et al!

A little late for the last stat scrape, but I've just tried the latest Plasma on Wayland, and it looks like they finally made it aware of the primary selection buffer. Seems it always syncs the primary buffer and the clipboard, but I usually have that option enabled in klipper anyway, so I'm happy with that. Will need to try it out for a few days, but I might be updating my info to wayland-based in the near future. :D

Quoting: mphuZValve should provide SteamOS to users. It will be an amazing experience and will give a big boost to Linux.

Just like SteamOS v1 and v2 did?

No Chrome, no Firefox. Only Lynx.
No Steam, no Battle for Wesnoth even. Only various roguelikes, that one economy/war sim whose name I forgot and now this.

The one you're thinking of is probably Arcane Fortune. Plus I thought of various versions of trek, taipan, and dwarf fortress in PRINT:TEXT mode (Handy way to play it over ssh!).

Great DF shoutout, I love that Toady One included TEXT mode pretty much exclusively for the mad bastards who want to play DF over SSH. :D
Also, thanks for mentioning Arcane Fortune, turns out there was a 0.4.0 release about a year ago that I missed (and I maintain the AUR packages... ).

I registered for my 512GB version on the day registrations opened, and Steam is still estimating July-September as my availability date.

I think they missed a trick by having the player character sleep in a bed, rather than say on top of the dresser, table, or mailbox.

Looks like a nice and relaxing game.

Survival game Rust might be playable properly on Linux and Steam Deck soon

Garry burnt his bridges as far as I'm concerned. It's a shame, because Rust was really fun back in the day.

Bought it earlier. I'm still doing the tutorial/guide so far, but enjoying it all the same. Still not sure what benefits shiny bees have over their non-shiny counterparts, or how the queen creation system works, but I'm looking forward to finding out!
