Northgard mostly, although with moving house and allotment work, I haven't had much time for gaming.

Missing out on VibranceGUI for Linux? There's a project for that and now a fork for AMD too

I guess you don't miss what you don't know about, but I don't see the point of this. Is it for helping people with colour-blindness?

Seriously scary game Alien: Isolation hits an all-time low price for Alien Day

I found this game more frustrating than scary. So frustrating that I gave up playing at one point.

Taking this opportunity to give Northgard a try. It's been on my wishlist for ages.

Valve add a Prestige option to the Dota Underlords 'City Crawl' mode to increase the challenge

Quoting: gustavoyaraujoWaiting Valve make it free to play

Possibly you're confusing this with Artifact, Valve's flopped DOTA2-themed Pay-To-Own (and Win) card game that nobody asked for.

DOTA Underlords is a Free-to-Play DOTA2-themed "auto chess" game that nobody asked for. ;)

How-to: upscale old games on Linux

My point is that the article title makes it seem like this is a Lutris-specific thing, but the article is about a "game manager"-agnostic solution which just happens to be usable in Lutris.

If the author wants to include Lutris-specific instructions, that's their prerogative. I just think "How-to: upscale old games on Linux" works perfectly well as a title (although "on Linux" is redundant) and doesn't potentially put off some potential readers who don't think the article will be useful for them since they don't use Lutris.

I'm not sure what this has to do with Lutris? All the tools involved appear to be standalone, and any game helper that allows you to set your own launch parameters could use them, no?

Anyway, it seems xpra can be built without gtk3, so this might be something to keep an eye on if I ever need it.

Realistic gun simulation FPS 'Receiver 2' launching April 14

Quoting: EikeIt's a bit short on information what actually happens in the game, beyond simulating arms...

I'm not sure if they even simulate arms -- they're clearly not simulating hands! ;D

What have you been playing recently? Come tell us what you think about it

Mostly Dwarf Fortress, Long Dark, and Microtown.

DF is going good, I have most of my industry going now after seeing off the alligators.

Long Dark, I'm currently squatting in the mountaineers hut and looting all the cargo plane storage. Just finished crafting my survival bow, but I only have two arrows (need to track down a forge to make more arrow heads). Quartering corpses seems to be a cool new feature added since I last played, so making lots of use of that.

As for Microtown, I just started playing a couple of days ago. So far it's pretty fun, but I'm not sure about it's replay value at this point.

I also span up Citdes: Skylines a little while ago, need to get back into that. As usual I'm trying to shun fossil fuels in favour of green energy. It's working okay so far, but I'm not an the big city stage just yet.

Seems Valve do intend to go back to SteamOS at some point

What market are you talking about? Red Hat is the industry standard and has been for a long time. IBM didn't buy them for no good reason. :P
