Never needed to use it, 99% of my games are accessible through Steam, and I could add the others as shortcuts if I was so inclined.
Still, it's good to see it's so actively developed!
EDIT: I see it's a GTK3 application, which is disappointing. :(

I use chroots rather than VMs, but my 32GB RAM is usually mostly used for compiling software too (mostly because I run the chroots on tmpfs).

Fingers crossed there's no GTK3 dependency.

If it boosts interest in Linux with developers, then that's great. I hope the games come to Steam though, as I won't be using this product.

It's supported tilesets for years. There's hundreds of different sets available if you don't like ascii.

Quoting: BotonoskiI never really expected Dwarf Fortress to ever officially use anything besides ASCII art.

I've already wishlisted it, although I can't see myself moving away from the traditional version even if the new version does come to Linux. I'll still buy it once it comes over, just to support the dev.

I generally only wishlist games that have a Linux version. I don't want to explain to everyone who may buy me games not to buy any games off my wishlist that don't have a Linux version yet. They'll just forget or get confused.

That's awesome news!
I look forward to the day I can play all these games without wine/proton, and without all the bugs of the original engines. \o/

I'm continuing on with my Proton-enabled play through of Fallout: New Vegas, that's going well, not so many crashes these days. \o/ (water still acts weird though)
I grabbed Civ VI in the sale, but I've only played an hour or so in the Alexander the Great campaign, haven't played a traditional game of Civ in it yet.
I also grabbed Rise of the Tomb Raider, which is looking pretty good (only played about an hour again); War for the Overworld which is a great "sequel" to the Dungeon Keeper series, very fun; Door Kickers, which isn't as good as I thought it'd be; and Melody's Escape, I am really not very good at, but it'd be pretty fun if I had hand-eye co-ordination.
