If you enjoyed the original Settlers, freeserf is probably worth looking into.
What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

Mostly Stardew Valley and Deus Ex: HR on Linux. Been playing a lot of Fallout 4 on PS4 too.
Stardew continues to be a great time sink, having now put over 400 hours into it (110 native on Steam, the rest via wine).

Unfortunately I couldn't get this game to run when I originally bought it, and Feral support didn't respond to me until after I had to refund it on Steam. Maybe it's time to give it another chance, but I'd have to buy it through Steam again to make sure the refund option is still available to me if it's still not working.
Did anyone else get CTD immediately after the corrupted splash screen, but keep the game? Does it launch properly now?

That's nice to see. Didn't both companies involved just throw up their arms and say "not our problem" just a couple of months ago? Would be nice to see which company is actually showing some integrity and pushing out these updates.
Civilization VI for Linux is no longer certain, only a possibility

If they decide it isn't viable, I hope they elaborate on _why_ this is the case. Nothing sucks more than a blunt "Won't port, kthx."
Of course, I'd still prefer that they do port it. My wallet is ready.

The divorce stuff gets seriously dark, if what I'm reading about the witch's hut is true. No spoilers here, but you can read up on it here: http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Marriage#Divorce
I started a new save in the hill farm. :D

Hah, thanks. I wasn't expecting anything quite so well thought out. I was thinking something along the lines of each letter spoken individually (but retaining case, not like an initialism).

But how do you pronounce it? :O

Quoting: DrMcCoyNitpick: it's not "h a c k m u d", but "hackmud".
The former is just the normal ASCII latin characters with spaces inbetween. This is not it.
The latter is CJK "fullwidth" forms of the latin characters, i.e. each character takes up the space a CJK character would use. In fixed-width fonts, that would be the space of two usual "halfwidth" characters.
But how do you pronounce it? :O
Stardew Valley 1.1 will add a bunch of new maps and content to go with them

I always found the fishing to be fine. Some fish escape, even at higher levels (when your catch bar is bigger), but the challenge makes it more fun.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the update. I don't give a damn about Shane, but it'll be nice to see Emily's character get fleshed out a bit. The new farm maps are a cool idea too. I've heard a rumour that we'll actually be able to brew mead in the 1.1 update too! Woo!
EDIT: btw, if you're rapidly clicking during the fishing minigame, then you're doing it wrong. Hold the left mouse button to raise the catch bar, release to let it lower.

Quoting: omer666I probably should've clarified that you need to disable DX11 in the options (Steam has a separate option to launch the config manager, if you didn't install through steam then you might need to manually edit an ini somewhere).Quoting: WorMzyAwesome news! I've been replaying the previous game in Crossover (works perfectly, btw) to rekindle my interest in the series. Gonna be looking forward to this! When I tried to play it on Crossover 15 I got a black screen, how did you proceed?
