There are a lot of timed missions, more than in the previous game (though I believe the expansion added more of them), but it adds to the sense of desperation -- if you don't hack this terminal before they lock it down/extract the VIP before the enemy jets arrive/kill the aliens before they repair their freight train, you fail, and it will have serious consequences for the resistance. Like the original UFO: Enemy Unknown, overall victory isn't assured, nor is it easy to accomplish; and to me, that's a lot more fun and interesting.

Has there ever been an article about Linux gaming on Ars that wasn't biased against it? Even before SteamOS really became a thing, and Linux gaming was really in it's infancy, Ars always seemed to be shitting on it and saying that it'd never amount to anything and people should never use anything other than Windows.

I'm confused.. Doesn't "GOG" stand for "Good Old Games"? How does early access factor into that?

Not that it matters, more stores selling newer games on Linux is always a good thing.

I got it free with my Steam Controller, and I'm not convinced that it's deserving of all the hype surrounding it, so I'm not too upset. Still, delays suck.

While cool and all, I think these new graphs really show the utter stupidity of some people. I mean, some people have seriously submitted "Windows 7" as their current Linux distro? And despite having a dedicated Arch-based option, some idiots have still chosen "other" and entered variants of "Arch" and "ArchLinux"?

There is definitely some merit in removing the safety labels from products like bleach. Let the problem solve itself. :P

Ehhh, I'm not a fan of racing games. I'm glad we're getting more though, some people must play them.
